And a little bonus as an aircheck from December 9, 1989 is now up where the song at the top would be the beginning of what is to come for the 90s and beyond for Garth Brooks in terms of collecting more #1's, selling out shows in record time, and appealing to non-country music fans as well in the process. Note the vinyl sound on this too (with scoped ads).

Well at long last the drought of 1991 is broken featuring a show from December 14, 1991 (which the full aircheck is available on YouTube). Hopefully it will be a sign that 1991 will be featured more often next year.

Too bad WW1 feels that they HAVE to have their OWN end-of-hour music, instead of lettin' the original end-of-hour music play out.

Too bad WW1 feels that they HAVE to have their OWN end-of-hour music, instead of lettin' the original end-of-hour music play out. I know, but sometimes that happens for again, a lack of a better word to cram in more time for ads. If anything you need to acquire the shows when the show was originally broadcast.

Yeah, acquiring the original shows are the best option, IMO. Plus you get that first hour not featured on ACC Rewind.

Until WW1/Cumulus decides to make it available or at least make the first hour optional to the affiliates running the show.
Nonetheless, they are going to squeak in one more 1997 show for this year this week by going back to December 20, 1997. As far as what could be the year-end if they choose to air one next week, 2001 is due given the longest stretch of when it last aired (which would only be a Top 50), but 1992 could also work (and so would 1994). But these things are guesses and next week's show is anyone's guess.

Sadly the airchecks for now have fallen into the sunset as the YouTube user that posted airchecks including ACC is no more with the channel being shut down due to copyright infringement. I am probably going to guess that the third party claims came from either Premiere Networks and Cumulus/Westwood One, or record companies with regards to the music content, but that we don't know exactly for sure.

Well, it turns out that this week, this year-end show special features the Top 50 of 1999 (minus the first hour of the show), and it was the first year in a long while they shortened from the Top 100 to the Top 50. But this cue sheet for the year-end actually has 8 hours total (Top 50 of the year, and then the Top 40 country artists of the century which in turn the century didn't end until 2000 concluded). Imagine if they had done the Top 100 of 1999 and then have the Top 40 of the century on another separate show... www.charismusicgroup.com/ACC%20Cue%20Sheets/12-31-99.pdf

Stupid WW1! They edited off Bob's signoff, for the #25-#12 hour.

Stupid WW1! They edited off Bob's signoff, for the #25-#12 hour. There really isn't much I can help you other than like I said before to acquire the ACC shows originally broadcast, including the year-end shows/specials they do from time to time.

From the CT40 Facebook page:
"ACC Rewind officially ended with this past weekend’s show due to the termination of our agreement with Westwood One."

Well that is a shame to see the rewind show go in its current format, but maybe Premiere Networks could step in and air the retro ACC shows to country affiliates worldwide. After all they do still air the retro AT40 shows from the 70s and 80s, so maybe they can resurrect it down the road by digitally remastering the old shows and transferring the rewind shows from WW1, and who knows, maybe they'll make hour 1 optional to their affiliates. Again though a sad day indeed while it lasted...
