98.9 out of Atlanta started teh show at 8AM EDT. As far as the show sequence, there are commercial breaks every quarter hour. Into the second hour now. (actually third hour as this is the last 3 hours of a 4 hour show). There are no optional extras at least not on this station. Thanks, Duke. Once we know more and hear a few more weeks and what is heard at other stations, we'll be able to further refine that. For now, this question is answered.

According to the 'shows' page of their site WNUQ-FM/102.1 (a Nash-Icon station) in Albany, GA IS airing the 3-hr retro show (but I couldn't find the day and time from their site.) 12-3 Sunday. I emailed the PD this past week and asked when I saw it pop up first in a search for the show.

For those who consider it important, here's the top 10 from the first "ACC Rewind," from May 1, 1993:
* 10. "Tender Moment" - Lee Roy Parnell. An alt-country singer who was in the midst of mainstream popularity. * 9. "My Blue Angel" - Aaron Tippin. Was still on its way up the chart. * 8. "Nobody Wins" - Radney Foster. The Foster part of Foster and Lloyd, this peaked at No. 2 a couple of weeks earlier and was this singer-songwriter's biggest hit. * 7. "The Heart Wont' Lie" - Reba McEntire and Vince Gill. Their second duet together -- "Oklahoma Swing" came in February 1990 -- this was Reba's first duet No. 1 hit. Her first duet partner, BTW, was a guy named Jacky Ward. * 6. "Born To Love You" - Mark Collie. An alt-country artist, this was his biggest hit, in its peak week. * 5. "Hard Workin' Man" - Brooks & Dunn. Yep, the Brooks part should be familiar to current "ACC" listeners. * 4. "Tonight I Climbed the Wall" - Alan Jackson. * 3. "Hearts Are Gonna Roll" - Hal Ketchum. Would peak at No. 2 the next week and become Ketchum's biggest hit. * 2. "She Don't Know She's Beautiful" - Sammy Kershaw. His first and only No. 1 hit. * 1. "Alibis" - Tracy Lawrence. His second No. 1 hit.
Also, Toby Keith was at No. 23 with his breakthrough hit, "Should've Been a Cowboy." Clint Black's "When My Ship Comes In" was the least most recent No. 1 hit still within the top 30. Also on the countdown: songs by John Michael Montgomery, Little Texas, Sawyer Brown, Travis Tritt, Patty Loveless, Doug Stone, Dwight Yoakum, Alabama, Wynonna Judd ... all good country songs.

I was working the entire weekend, and didn’t have a chance to catch the show (it seems a very few people did after all).
Looking at the 5/1/93 chart at home now some other observation: Thirteen consecutive titles (#9 through #21) are all bulleted, though in case of #11 (I LOVE THE WAY YOU LOVE ME-JOHN MICHAEL MONTGOMERY) AND #12 (MADE FOR LOVIN’ YOU-DOUG STONE) they each lose one position from the previous week. The biggest climber inside the ACC’s entire expanded Top 40 is at #30, up from last wk’s #40: NO FUTURE IN THE PAST-VINCE GILL As mentioned before “Alibis” was Tracy Lawrence 2nd #1. His first “Sticks and Stones” hit the top spot on 1/25/92. Between the two, he achieved an additional two Top 5 and another Top 10. Both #1s though were the title tracks to his albums.

96.3 KBZU Albuquerque (Nash-Icon affiliate) played at Sunday at 10am EDT. Since there is nothing listed on their website, I don't know if this is the only airing. The one that is truly forgotten today, it seems is the band at No. 22 this particular week: the Gibson/Miller Band. Their hit " High Rollin'" was their biggest chart hit (would peak at No. 20 a week later). Led by Dave Gibson and Bill "Blue" Miller -- Miller was a guest musician in Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band -- the band had seven chart hits from 1992 to 1994, after which they disbanded. One of their songs that failed to reach the top 40 -- peaking at No. 49 in the summer of 1994 -- was a cover of Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson's " Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys." BTW: The one artist I didn't mention earlier was George Strait. He had fallen a couple of weeks earlier out of the top 30 (but was still within the top 40) with his former No. 1 hit " Heartland" (from the "Pure Country" soundtrack), and had a brand new hit that had yet to reach the top 30: " When Did You Stop Loving Me" (also from "Pure Country"). I suspect that many of the "ACC Rewind" programs we'll be hearing will have George Strait on them, however. Brian

You can now go to ct40.com, the website for The Country Top 40 and click on the ACC Rewind icon to hear the entire show. (well the last 3 hours).

So you can hear the whole ACC Rewind show.

I am surprised that they are so "open" about intertwining the worlds of ACC and CT40.

I just listened to a short clip, I first heard Bob in 2005. While his voice has not aged to the extent that Casey's did, you can hear a much higher energy and higher pitch in his voice on this Rewind show.

Nice touch that the old ACC's are listenable online. (So are Bob's current countdowns, which are a complete top 40). I guess they'll be changed each week, like Rick Dees does with his shows online.
One advantage Bob and ACC's online presentations have is that they not only list the songs in both the old and new shows, but if you just want to hear a particular song you can go right to it without having to listen to or click through a bunch of other segments.

Agreed. That is why I never listen to Rick's shows online. I generally listen to only the Top 10 of the current Seacrest AT40 each week and would be more inclined to do the same with Dees, but there are only so many hours in the week.

I noticed he sounded much older to me when I heard last week's show after not hearing it for a couple of years.

I am surprised that they are so "open" about intertwining the worlds of ACC and CT40. Same here. This gives me hope we'll get Casey's Top 40 and/or Shadoe shows in the future. If old ACC's can be aired at the same time the current ACC is still going on with no rights issues (between Cumulus, WW1, Billboard, etc) then anything is possible. Listened to some of the 5/1/93 show and there are some good country gems on it (even though Country is not my favorite genre). It was fun to listen to the credits at the end and hear some of the same names that worked on AT40 at the time (Matt Wilson, etc), and of course credit being given to Casey, Don, and Tom!
