French DJ and producer Klingande, who originally recorded as part of a duo under the same name, released the song "Jubel" in 2013 when Klingande was still a duo, but it didn't make Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart until January 2014. It took some time, but it reached its #24 peak on the chart that August.

Originally released by Tears for Fears in 1982, "Mad World" would be remade by Michael Andrews featuring Gary Jules for the soundtrack of the film Donnie Darko in 2001. The subsequent popularity of the film and song led to it being released as a single in 2003. It debuted on the February 28, 2004 Modern Rock chart at #39 but only reached #30. It did better on both the Adult Alternative and the British singles charts, hitting #1 on both.

Released on March 7, 2000 was the debut album by hard rock band Disturbed, The Sickness. Covers have appeared on their other albums (some of which have been posted here before - "Land of Confusion", "The Sound of Silence"), and The Sickness was no different. Remaking Tears for Fears' #1 hit from 1985, here's Disturbed and "Shout 2000".

Debuting and peaking at #101 on the Billboard 200 album chart this week in 2014 is the album So Long, See You Tomorrow by the British indie rock band Bombay Bicycle Club. Today's pick is a track from that album - "Luna". EDIT: There was a remix for this song I wanted to post here originally but couldn't remember which one it was, but I was reminded of it today (March 10, 2023). Here's the Dezza Bootleg for "Luna". I modified this post to add a remix I couldn't remember at the time.

And while looking up info on the rapper, I found out there was also a funk band named Wax who hit the R&B chart in 1981 with "Get Loose".
