The search for a supposed lioness in Kleinmachnow south of Berlin was stopped on Friday afternoon, the police remains nevertheless with strengthened forces present - the "subjective feeling of security" of the citizens must be strengthened. Not everyone believes that the animal seen was not a big cat but a wild boar. In foreign newspapers, the cancelled lion hunt caused some mocking comments: "The Germans quietly call off the hunt for the beast of Berlin after admitting that it is NOT a lioness," wrote the Daily Mail. The French "Liberation" noted: "The citizens of Kleinmachnow can bring out their dachshunds again. There is no longer any danger that the lioness, who was searched for 30 hours by more than 300 police officers from Thursday to Friday, will eat her pet." Here are my " keep cool" editions: 7/24/82 (A):Crosby, Stills & Nash - Wasted On The WayFleetwood Mac - Hold Me Paul McCartney - Take It Away Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger The Steve Miller Band - Abracadabra 7/25/87 (B):Al Jarreau - Moonlighting Crowded House - Something So Strong Fleetwood Mac - Seven Wonders Kenny G - SongbirdSurface - Happy Time for a French extra: Michel DelpechJean- Michel Delpech was born on 1/26/1946 in the Parisian suburb of Courbevoie. In 1967, the Frenchman embarked on a month-long tour of what was then the Soviet Union. According to the Russian news agency Tass, Michel Delpech had to pause after each song so that the lyrics could be translated into Russian for the audience. Michel was also an actor in addition to his singing career. In 1997, he was awarded the 24th "Oscar of French Chanson" by the French Union of Authors and Composers (UNAC) in Paris. In March 2015, his book "Vivre !" was published, in which he described his fight against throat cancer and his fear of no longer being able to sing. The chansonnier died a few days before his 70th birthday in a hospital in the Paris suburb of Puteaux as a result of laryngeal carcinoma. Michel Delpech is remembered as a "chanteur de charme" (charming singer) with a gentle voice who delighted audiences as a young man with long hair and a hippie style. "He was a folksy singer who sang about people´s ordinary lives," said the general director of the Universal Music France music label, Pascal Negre on France Info radio: "Music was his life". From 1971, here´s Michel Delpech with "Pour Un Flirt": from my musical category "daydreamer"My motto: "Not always the often heard hits.

While I really like or love 35 songs from the 7/28/84 countdown, these 7 are my absolute faves:Legs, Round & Round*, Rock Me Tonite, Turn To You, Lights Out, The Glamorous Life, She Bop(The only songs not to make my favorite list: Doctor Doctor (close but not quite), Romancing The Stone (solid if unspectacular), Sexy Girl (kinda bland), 10-9-8 (pretty good song... but written in a different key, this could have done better), Boys Do Fall In Love (I completely forgot how the verses went on this song... dull, mechanical tune) While I really like or love 21 songs from the 7/31/71 countdown, these 10 are my absolute faves:Indian Reservation, How Can You Mend A Broken Heart, Mercy Mercy Me, Treat Her Like A Lady, Beginnings, That's The Way I've Always Heard It Should Be, Liar, Riders On The Storm, Smiling Faces Sometimes, Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get*Ratt and Undisputed Truth are This Week's Pick Hits. Why just sing something once when you can sing it twice? "Round & Round"... "Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get"... get it? Also, if you look at the video stills below... How does Ratt have enough hits to have "The Very Best Of Ratt" while Undisputed Truth, who apparently didn't have any albums make the Billboard Album chart (!), have an album titled, "Undisputed Truth - The Collection"? Hmmmmmm...

There´s No Stopping Us Peabo Bryson - If Ever You´re In My Arms AgainRatt - Round And Round Sergio Mendes - Alibis The Go-Go´s - Turn To You A1 CEV Beach Volleyball European Championships Vienna 2023 After the successful guest appearance at Heumarkt, the A1 CEV Beach Volleyball European Championships 2023 will take place for the first time in front of a large backdrop on Vienna´s Danube Island. The European beach elite will meet from August 2 to 6 at the site of legendary events, such as the 2017 World Championships and the Beach Majors tournaments in 2018 and 2019. Spectacular rallies and goose bumps are guaranteed when the 32 best European men's and women's teams battle it out for the coveted title at the Red Bull Beach Arena.

7/28/84:Dan Hartman - I Can Dream About You Glenn Frey - Sexy Girl Robin Gibb - Boys Do Fall In Love Rod Stewart - Infatuatiuon Steve Perry - She´s Mine Time for a French extra: Jean Michel JarreWhen Jean Michel Jarre auditioned record companies in 1976 with the recordings for his album "Oxygene," he was still smiled at. No wonder, because in times of punk rock and disco, a set of instrumental, numbered synthesizer melodies seemed to have little in common with the commercial present. When someone finally took pity on the idea of releasing "Oxygene", expectations were so low that the small first edition of the album was offered mainly in hi-fi stores. Today, with twelve million records sold, "Oxygene" is the most successful French record of all time and Jean Michel Jarre is famous even beyond French borders. Not much more is known about the synthesizer wizard in terms of glamorous facts than that he is the son of the great Hollywood soundtrack composer Maurice Jarre and that he was once married to the British actress Charlotte Rampling. Jean Michel Jarre is also famous for his extravagant concerts, also called "events", because the artist prefers to play entire city centers from Houston to Moscow and Beijing to Paris rather than common concert halls. In addition to entries in the "Guinness Book of Records," this has also earned him the reputation of tending toward megalomania, which he nonchalantly counters by saying that there's nothing more boring than watching someone twiddling around with synthesizers. Which is why he likes to offer a bit more entertainment. from my musical category "daydreamer"My motto: "Not always the often heard hits.

8/6/88:Chicago - I Don´t Wanna Live Without Your Love Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me Peter Cetera - One Good Woman Taylor Dayne - I´ll Always Love YouThe Moody Blues - I Know You´re Out There Somewhere Red Bull launches first women´s team
Bayern Munich, AS Roma, RB Leipzig and Barcelona have long had women´s soccer teams. After 18 years on the ball, FC Red Bull Salzburg is now following suit and starting training with a new girls´ team in cooperation with Bundesliga club FC Bergheim. The 20 female soccer players have grown up in boys´ teams so far. Now, for the first time, the 13- to 15-year-olds are part of an all-girls team - selected after scouting training and test matches and equipped with new training gear bearing the logo of the Austrian series champion. The fact that it took a long 18 years after Red Bull entered Salzburg´s soccer scene for the women´s soccer project to be launched in Salzburg is explained by those responsible as follows: "I think the club had already held talks and discussions for a very long time and simply tried to catch a good moment. After last year´s European Championship, there was another jolt in women's soccer. I think that was also a bit of the initial spark. We want to start small with an U16 team and then see step by step how things develop," says the head of FC Red Bull Salzburg´s women's soccer team, Bernd Winkler. And here´s my " women"-edition: 8/6/88:Debbie Gibson - Foolish Beat Jane Wiedlin - Rush Hour Pat Benatar - All Fired Up Tracy Chapman - Fast CarWhitney Houston - Love Will Save The Day Time for a French extra: LioLio had a big hit before "Amoureux solitaires" with "Banana Split", in which there are shady references to certain love practices. Now that might not be anything special if you didn´t consider that Lio was only 16 years old at the time. Her writing partner Jacques Duvall, who had already written lyrics for Jane Birkin, found a way to blend Lio´s girlish innocence with a special humor of often hidden messages. And that was long before Madonna´s "Material Girl" came along. Lio´s version of the original, which came from the band "Stinky Toys," features ex-member Denis Quilliard, aka Jacno, playing synthesizer. Lio stood for new wave and electro-pop sound. The precocious youth had no problem with that as long as everyone was having a good time. "Amoureux solitaires" was meant to provoke as well as seduce. There´s talk of a dead, soulless city, chemical pleasures, and a romantic despair. "Amoureux solitaires" also captivates with the contrast of a childlike melody and a pessimistic lyric: "Hey you, say you love me, even if it´s a lie. I need romance, and drugs for our stupid heads ..." from my musical category "daydreamer"My motto: "Not always the often heard hits."
