I just finished listening to the 05/1969 program - I was wondering how they were going to fit the album version of "In-a-Gadda-da-Vida" into a 2 hour show. They didn't even try. I think most of the other Dave Hoeffel hosted shows were under 2 hours, but I timed this one at a little over 2:37. As far as the length of the Iron Butterfly song, when it was released as a single in the fall of 1968, the time Whitburn lists is 2:52 (I was sure it was longer than that, closer to 4 minutes), but I was thinking the album version was about 17 minutes. The one played in this countdown was "only" about 8 minutes long. No big deal, these are just my observations. Hey Mitch,
I used the 45 version on a Cash Box Countdown and the song is very close to 3 minutes.

Thank you very much Doofus67. Second show on that theme but with a different chart. Lou made it in 2016. Yes, I remember that. It was for the Fourth of July, and he did Red, White, Blue, Stars, and Stripes. The only Stripes song they could find was "I Got Stripes" by Johnny Cash!

I must have misunderstood Shotgun Tom. He must have said "the top songs of '66," not "this week in '66."

Thank you doofus67!
I have a suggestion for SiriusXm : Why don't they play the entire Hot 100 ( non stop music ) from 100 to 41 before the 60s sat survey regular weekly chart shows ?
A dutch radio station used to do that a while ago ( Top 100 non stop until # 41 and just after AT40 of the same week ).
