Here's a guy who's seen better days. I kind of hate posting a song from Ricky Martin considering the news I'm seeing about him now. On the July 20, 1996 Hot 100 he was debuting with his first solo hit "Maria" at #90, but it only reached #88 after that. I posted a video for the "Spanglish" version of the song, with a link to the music video for the Spanish language version from Ricky Martin's official account if anybody wants to see it. youtu.be/vCEvCXuglqo

I'm cheating a bit with my 1995 selection as it's primarily known as an 80s song. Originally released in 1986, "Bizarre Love Triangle" by New Order was remixed in 1994 and debuted on the July 22, 1995 Hot 100 at #98. The following week, it dropped to #100 and fell off the chart after that. I found the '94 version on YouTube, and also included what I presume to be the original 1986 video.

Debuting on the August 9, 1997 Hot 100 at #90, Lisa Stansfield took her cover of Barry White's "Never, Never Gonna Give You Up" to #74. Oddly enough, '74 is the year the original song peaked at #7 on the chart.
