This sucks. I'm at lunch as I type this listening to another hour of this man as he vibrantly counted down in 1984. Doesn't seem he's going to make it even to July.

I'm glad that, for the time being, Kasem's condition has been stabilized and that his family is with him. Sad to say, and I hate to jinx things, but I fear it won't be long … and he'll no longer be suffering and he'll be in peace. Brian |

I was catching up on recent shows (I'm a few weeks behind), and heard a snippet of Casey coming from our living-room TV... and feared the worse, knowing that (my mobility-limited) mother is known to wander among many channels, including those that carry 24-hour news... what was actually on, was AMC showing the part of Ghostbusters where multiple TV and radio people, including Casey, wonder what Bill Murray and the gang are going to do next.

Totally off subject but apparently Ghostbusters is going to be re-released to theaters in August to celebrate it's 30th anniversary.

I was catching up on recent shows (I'm a few weeks behind), and heard a snippet of Casey coming from our living-room TV... and feared the worse, knowing that (my mobility-limited) mother is known to wander among many channels, including those that carry 24-hour news... what was actually on, was AMC showing the part of Ghostbusters where multiple TV and radio people, including Casey, wonder what Bill Murray and the gang are going to do next. dL Love Ghostbusters, I saw it so much back around 1984, in theaters, then on VHS, I'm able to quote just about every funny line from that awesome film!  Jean Kasem talks and dances with Rick Moranis at his character's, Louis Tully's, party. |

That must have been kind of heart stopping. While I was trying to post everything, everywhere (and discovered someone had finally started a new thread (thanks Brett! Glad he's no longer "missing.") and that's why there had been no posts of what I was reading) my email popped up with a subject line that Scott Bakula's father had died. :-( (I met him a few times. He was very nice and gave definition to the word "charming“.) And then *the phone rang*. Thankfully, no more dire news. |

Another tidbit I looked at, not only is Ensure as a substitute for Casey's medication and nutrients not acceptable, it is not vegan.

Why is she not declared unfit and completely removed from her entirely. Like not to be within 500 ft removed. This woman is clearly a poor excuse for a human being.

He's probably in palliative care as of right now. I bet he'll be gone at some point this week. As for Jean, she's the one that's causing this real life family feud that's been ongoing for many, many months now. Also, when Casey passes, I wonder if Ryan Seacrest will make an on-air mention of Casey's passing on a future edition of Ryan's AT40? |
