I have no doubt Seacrest will pay tribute to Casey when that time comes. As morbid as it sounds, sound clips and montages for said situation may already be produced and ready to insert into the show whenever it is time.

He will absolutely mention it. Honestly wouldn't shock me if the first "On Air" on KIIS after he passes away turns into a show of memories for callers and all. He is going to be sad too. He really likes and considers Casey Kasem to be one of his heroes in the business.
For that matter I'd also expect when Shadoe Stevens passes away he'll mention him too. He was an AT40 host whether they choose to acknowledge it at this moment or not.

He's probably in palliative care as of right now. I bet he'll be gone at some point this week. I'm nit saying he won't be gone soon but he's not in hospice, still at St. Anthony's and they are still treating him with antibiotics for... whichever infection And he's alert, so I figure the "open his eyes" quote had to do with just before the very end. Plus, now that the Jean administration is out of office - pain meds! Yay! "The 82-year-old former DJ has been alert throughout his hospitalization, receiving wound care, intravenous antibiotic therapy, blood pressure support medication and treatment for his pain, hospital spokesman Scott Thompson said." www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/casey-kasem-remains-critical-condition-n125626

Death has been a fixture in my life for 2 years so the whole "if he opens his eyes" statement was a big red flag. Both my Aunt and Grandfather were pretty much in a constant state of sedation their last few days. Once that happened, neither lasted over a week. So, that's why I asked about that.

As for Jean, she's the one that's causing this real life family feud that's been ongoing for many, many months now. Also, when Casey passes, I wonder if Ryan Seacrest will make an on-air mention of Casey's passing on a future edition of Ryan's AT40? Think of the tribute Dick Clark received from Ryan and hopefully multiply it by 100. Casey deserves the highest of tributes and honor on AT40 when the time comes.

So wanting to keep him him safe and under medical care in his condition is bad?

This is ridiculous. He's a human being not a toy. Stop bouncing him from one person to another. It is obvious under Jeans care he suffered. However I do side with not removing feeding tube and all. Unless that is made perfectly and legally clear ahead of time, I am 100% against that.
Further, this grabbing of the hand thing is a bunch of bunk too! My grandfather had Alzheimer's and the Friday before he died he was trying to pull up on my moms arm to LEAVE THE HOSPITAL, not to indicate who he wants in charge. That's most likely what Casey is doing. If he has dementia chances are he recognizes Jean because she's been with him continually longer than anyone else and not really his children anymore. Anyone putting any stock in how he's reacting as if he is in any sound mind is fooling themselves.

I also see it this way. Jean's little joyride to Vegas and Washington clearly made Casey's condition worse. While he was already in bad shape, she escalated his conditon and is more at fault with "trying to kill him" than anyone

Grade 3, infected bedsores.
Unless Jean is against Medical Treatment (which is unlikely, since she had him in a nursing home - not a hospice (am I characterizing Berkeley East correctly?) then she is a hypocrite. (in the future I'm going to write my conclusion before I write my parentheticals, so I don't forget my point. hopefully that *was* my point)
