Just heard a bit of 1979-The hour was just ending & Larry's bit said that each week there will be one show from the 70s & one show from the 80s there.
Looks like when the 70s has 2 offerings it will be the A show only, which i guess makes sense.
They may have put them up early this week to get rid of the mess of 1982 & 1971 that has been looping all week

Do they play all the optional extras? Are they in the same place as Premiere's show?

Do they play all the optional extras? Are they in the same place as Premiere's show? From the show earlier - Hour #1: "You Can't Change That" by Raydio - came after 36: DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY - VAN HALEN Hour #2: "Bad Girls" by Donna Summer - I don't think they played this one Hour #3: "I Was Made For Lovin' You" by KISS - came after 7: SHAKE YOUR BODY (DOWN TO THE GROUND) - THE JACKSONS Hour #4: "One Way Or Another" by Blondie - came after 30: LOVE TAKES TIME - ORLEANS As far as I can tell, everything else is in there and in the right order.

I just tuned in to the station and now Hour #4: "One Way Or Another" by Blondie was played after 3: LOVE YOU INSIDE OUT - BEE GEES this time.
Looks like they might shuffle the OE around from show to show. Has anyone heard the OE "Bad Girls" in the show?

Ok, just listened to most of 1979 & all seems to be in order on that one.
It's all 4 hours & i didn't hear any screw ups-although i missed #17-11 as i had to go out for a bit.
The optional extras are there, but some are in weird places. The 1st appears after #36, where the 2nd commercial break would be in hour 1. The 2nd one appears where the first break would be in hour 2. the last though is before #2 in the normal place.
They are running a quick Iheart promo between hours where the extra normally is.

I heard Hot Stuff by Donna Summer. Is that song from last week's show or this week's show?

Just found the error-Blondie-One way or another appears twice as an extra after #30 & again before #2-So no Donna Summer extra-unless it pops up later in the hour.I'll have to listen again

I heard Premiere's Optional Extra Bad Girls by Donna Summer when posting right before you about hearing June 2nd, 1979, last night, Pacific Time, early this morning, Eastern Time, after "Archives: Grand Funk Railroad - The Loco-Motion"!

Looks like when the 70s has 2 offerings it will be the A show only, which i guess makes sense. If so, then they should delete Larry's "if you missed any of this, catch it on iHeart Radio" annoucement from the B shows. I heard that at the end of the June 5, 1976 show today,

This is a great idea-I live in Connecticut & none of our local stations see fit to air either "AT40-The 70's" or "AT40-The 80's".

I know we were both listening to the first run earlier. It's not on my copy for some reason. I have the recorder set not to compensate for skips and drop outs. There are no gaps or skips in the show in there.

I was sleepy too, but it was definitely there because they went into #12, Deeper Than the Night by Olivia Newton-John right after Larry Morgan said something like, one week away from hitting the countdown, that was Bad Girls by Donna Summer, a Classic American Top 40 Extra from 1979!

They're still having 'issues'. The '79 show just skipped from 40 to 35...
