This is real dumb though if you think on it because why bother chasing down the shows or posting here just tune in to that station whenever you like. Well you post here to talk about the shows. And you are right, it will be easier to catch the shows. Not sure how on earth that is "real dumb" The fact that someone is complaining about this is living proof some people will never be satisfied no matter what. "Hey you can listen online whenever you want!" "No, that's dumb! It's much more intelligent and normal to try and find all these shows on individual stations every week."

A better idea (as usual) would be for premiere to supply us a complete list of stations that carry the show and tell us what show the station chose every week. I prefer to listen to the higher quality stations than iheart. It was mentioned several times that the list provided by the people here is probably the only list you need to find a station that has higher quality. I understand there are those who love the hunt of something. I don't think this will stop you from doing this. For the majority of others, the convenience of being able to turn on their computer and hear the classic countdown trumps just about everything else you could throw at them. It's not smart, nor is it dumb. It sounds like a win/win for all involved.

This is long overdue and I think it speaks highly of the popularity and appeal of the 70s and 80s series. Great to have. And the current AT40 with Seacrest channel is a true 24/7 loop of that show now as well. Plus the new "iheartradio" countdown has its own channel. And I like to think if Casey was well and AT20/AT10 were still on, it would have a channel. A wonderful resource for when you can't devote time on the weekend to the show, or you have an affiliate screw up. Right--now we have a great "fallback" source to use for when things don't go well on the weekends.

They have had their AT40 Seacrest station for a while so i imagine its success, combined with no loss of ad revenue, sparked the idea for the Casey channel.
Also, based on the Larry Morgan promo, we will get one 70s and one 80s show each week, so my guess is B shows and special shows will likely not be aired here. If that is the case, let the complaining about this free, convienient service begin!

Would it make you feel better if I said they (iheart) are the greatest station in the world for this idea? Truth is that after listening now for a while I conclude that this actually is better than the way the were broadcasting on their station. The sound quality seems better (when did this happen?) and no commercials and if you miss a part it loops over and over. This is an improvement over their other technique. There's a big difference between saying something is dumb and x is the greatest ever. It's an option to hear the show. Some people don't want to figure out where it's airing or if the station dropped the show, forgot to air it, whatever. If I listened and recorded every week I'd probably still record from a station if this is not going to be updated until after but I'd use it as a backup. No matter what, I think it's far from dumb.

I am listening to 1988 on iHeart and the second premiere extra , ErasureĀ“s Chains of love, has been played, but after a regular segment of hour 2, not in its right place.

After two video ads, it jumped right into 5.22.88, at the tail end of a Larry extra! ("In Your Room", Bangles) dL

It's 8:40PM Sunday where I am (Mountain Standard Time--so it's 11:40EDT), and iHeart is already into the second hour of the 5/22/71 show. So they definitely start the new week's shows sometime on Sunday.

Top of the hour, and they've gone from "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" (#2), skipped over Dawn at #1, and restarted the 5/12/73 show. I guess someone jumped the gun with the '71 show earlier...

1982 show has been updated, but iHeart has messed up last segment of the 1982 by playing last segment of the 1988 show ( last week show) with One more try (George Michael) and Anything for you ( Miami Sound Machine).

I'm listening to last week's 80's show from 5-22-82 and something is wrong. When I started listening, they were playing #9. Larry Morgan cut off #9 and the song never finished. They just cut off #10 and #8. What is going on here?

I'm guessing that Premiere doesn't anticipate losing money/ad revenue over this, otherwise they would never do it. I believe we are nearing the shows 7th anniversary. So as contracts came up for renewal now they may have made it clear in the new agreement that it is now available on IHeartRadio and that they'd only be the exclusive OTA local carrier. This could have been in agreements/renewals for the last several months but now that the anniversary is approaching, everyone would have been notified and been allowed to voice disapproval or cancel in protest. Seeing as how most stations don't seem to care about how it runs, when it runs, etc I doubt many if any at all expressed concern. Plus, as previously mentioned AT40 has been streaming this way for years.
