It's the AT10 from 4/15/2006 and that song that someone posted about a week or 2 back....You're Beautiful. Casey says it has been #1 for a month in the top 3 recap.
But it's not #1 anymore...fell to #2. By James Blunt for any of you who want to run out and buy the CD. Oh it's been out for 8 years? Never mind then...lol

Listened to AT40 from 6/13/1992 and 6/20/1992. Hoping to complete June Tonight (listened to 6/6/1992 last night)
Tampa got referenced twice in Hour #4 of the 6/20/1992 show. First, Shadoe talked about Genesis' concert at old Tampa Stadium a few weeks ago which wound up being cancelled after two songs in due to Phil Collins' sore throat. Then, to intro the "Music News" segment, a group of students (recorded from AT40's recent Grad Night visit a month earlier) said they listen to AT40 in Tampa but did not name an affiliate.
There were two Top 40 stations here at the time. Q105 and Power Pig 93.3. The latter dominated the former (went to Country music less than a year after this countdown aired; it's now an Oldies station). Don't think either aired Shadoe's AT40 at that point (Q105 aired Casey's Top 40).
Was it easy to pull in Orlando's XL 106.7 perhaps?

Can't imagine it was easy. I can't get it now. Maybe a Bradenton/Sarasota station had it. I know there was a station in Winter Haven I think that aired Casey's Countdown in 94/95 timeframe. The atmosphere one Sunday night was just right and I could sort of pick it up from Titusville.

Listening to (and watching) a third season episode of The Mary Tyler Moore Show. How is that relevant to this thread? The camera coordinator was a gentleman by the name of Don Bustany.

Going with the Eubanks show today. 4-16-83, followed by 4-20-85. In an 80's mood apparently...

4/16/88 with Keri Tombazian hosting for the second time. Got a surprise when they played the Spanglish version of "Anything for You". A la "99 Balloons", it is a mix of Spanish and English sung. Surprised in part because Pete does not note this in his book. Gloria sounds really nice in Spanish. Before anyone thinks I made a mistake, yes I know that ""99 Balloons" is a mix of GERMAN and English.
With a zillion posts already, let me just add to this one since it is the last one in the thread right now. On the 4/17/76 show, I just heard the story behind "Shannon" who was Carl Wilson of the Beach Boys' Irish Setter. He had been run over by a car a week before Henry Gross visited and in part because Henry also had an Irish Setter named "Shannon", he wrote this song. So that is how this all started. 9 years later, this situation was manifested in that LDD.

Today offers a double-dose of 1976: 4/10 and 4/24, as today is 4/17 and I'm splitting the difference.
I really wish "Let Your Love Flow" by the Bellamy Brothers would have hit number one, especially preferably over "Disco Lady" by Johnnie Taylor, which is definitely not one of my favorite songs. Regardless, 4/24 is quite a great countdown.

Well, looking at the list of shows that have aired, I don't see 5/1/76 ever being offered by Premiere. And, as we are getting 1978 this week, and quite likely 1974 the next, 5/1/76 looks like a good bet for the first full weekend of May.
Fingers X'd.

Any chance that we could get the 5-26-79 show, where Casey shares the story of how 'Imaginary lover' sped-up, sounded like Stevie Nicks? I'd love for Premiere to give us THAT show.

Good point! The AT20 from 4/18/98 that I just heard is the third show I have heard since you posted this in which the #1 song has been beyond that point. Matchbox 20 in its 11th week on top here and Colbie Caillat had been in her 14th week and Enrique Iglesias had been in his 17th week at #1 in the other shows. Don't have to worry about Casey giving it away with the counting down to a new #1 song!
