Talk about bad editing.On the 11/25/78 show how could AT 40 play "Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Band" and cut it off without playing "With A Little Help From My Friends" That's just wrong  |

This makes no sense to me at all.On the 11/30/74 show Casey told the story about the applause at the end of I Can Help....then he talked over it so you can't hear it |

Editing out the last verse to "Cat's In The Cradle" made zero sense. Kind of makes you wish that they would un-edit the original shows and play the complete song as recorded.
Sometimes listening to the early AT-40 shows is like listening to songs from a K-Tel album.

On this weekend '70's show (from 12-11-71) the third verse of "Desiderata" by Les Crane was edited, to my disgust. IMHO, certain songs should not be messed with, and this great spoken word recitation of a great poem is one of them. It's just not the same without old Les reassuring us that "it's still a beautiful world". |
