My AT40 affiliate WFLZ in Tampa did not remove "Die Young" after Newtown (not that I cared).
FYI Paul love the av. Actually watched "Dallas" for the first time last night believe it or not.

Thanks. We haven't watched this season yet (so, last night). My wife and I have been watching the original series I bought on DVD awhile back. I have seen the whole series but she hadn't. So, we sort of made an agreement that we wouldnt watch this seasons shows until we were completely done with the original series, the movies that now have been totally ignored in the series, and then the first season of the new show again. We are up to, watching, and almost finished with episode 10 of the originals final season. Whats cool is I recorded the last episode in 1991 and transferred it with commercials and all to DVD a few years back. We'll watch THAT version as the last episode.

I wish I had a copy like that (with commercials etc). BTW as for "Die Young" (getting back on subject), it's at #13 on AT40 for the third consecutive week. Clearly no "Landslide"-esque backlash.

"Die Young" just won't die young on the charts, it seems.

This weekend on AT40, "Die Young" takes another stumble. After three straight weeks at #13, it drops to #20 (Ke$ha is back-to-back this weekend as her follow-up "C'mon" is at #19).

Well, with two weekends in February down and two more to go before we enter March, I think it's a safe bet that "Die Young" will die on AT40 before the spring. There may be a chance it'll be on AT40 for one week in March, but I can assure you it'll be gone by the spring.

Maybe in some states, the song isn't pulled.
Can't believe it's still lingering and next weekend it will be March. The way it's going, inching down the chart, it may still be on AT40 in April.

No surprise considering how slow downward movement often is on AT40 nowadays. This week's chart still includes Ellie Goulding's "Lights", which hit #1 six months ago (late August/early September.)

"Die Young" is hanging in there on AT40. This week it's down another notch to #23.
On a related note, the three longest running songs on AT40 - Ellie Goulding's "Lights" at 45 weeks and Neon Trees' "Everybody Talks" at 40 weeks and Pink's "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" at 31 weeks - fall out of the Top 40 this week.

Didn't a song by Black Eyed Peas ("Meet Me Halfway" or "I Gotta Feeling") spend a lot longer on Ryan's AT40?

Not a regular FLZ listener (WJQB True Oldies Channel is more my preference) but I do record AT40 there.
