WNIC didn't air any AT40 this past weekend. Odd. I expected a Christmas AT40 at 8am last Sunday, but didn't hear it.

WNSN FM as of this weekend went christmas, and won't be airing AT40 80s though after Christmas is over.
WAJI Majic 95.1 already went christmas just last week, or no clue when it started.

Though not an AT40: The 70's/AT40: The 80's affiliate, former AT10 1 hour custom version WLTW New York City didn't start all Christmas music the weekend of November 7-8, 2020 weekend. Maybe Mayor Blassio of New York City is an anti Christmas music fan? Mayor Blassio even currently refuses to reopen New York City movie theatres that have been shut down since March 2020 when the pandemic was underway (and Broadway theatres are still shuttered until at least June 2021, and the 2020 Macy's New York City Parade on Thanksgiving Day is going to be scaled down for one block with virtural balloons, floats, and Santa Claus - but no marching bands!)

Come on, man.

As of 5pm EST this afternoon, WYXB (B105.7) here in Indpls has switched to all Christmas music. It's happening a little earlier than in past years; IIRC, they usually wait until the Wednesday before Thanksgiving to flip. But, from news stories I've read recently, the COVID pandemic has spurred lots of people to immerse themselves with Christmas-themed activities and music sooner than usual. I can't say I blame them.

A little off-topic... In a Christmas REVERSAL here in Detroit, the Entercom AC station - that had played Christmas music from November 1st - turned alternative with no notice to anyone (including staff), so that left AC WNIC 100.3 as the lone Christmas station. This happened about a week ago. (98.7 turned alternative because the 2 Canadian stations switched formats - 1 to country after being alternative for 30 years! The other became Top 40 from being AA.)
