Just insane...and what's more annoying than anything is that this is clearly done for commercial reasons--to "get people in the mood" for holiday shopping so they'll start spending money earlier. Not sure about anyone else, but seriously...the last thing I'm thinking about right now is doing Christmas shopping, and a radio station playing Xmas music will not influence that in any way. It will only make me change the station as soon as humanly possible.
And while we're talking weather, we had measurable snowfall this year on May 3rd (and then a high of 98 exactly 11 days later). I hear Wyoming and parts of South Dakota had 4 FEET of snow this past weekend?? Crazy...maybe they should be switching to holiday music in those parts.

I hope for a revolt against this one day! Not the holiday but this type of douchebaggery.

Anyone want to try year-round Christmas stations? I sure wouldn't. Bet it's coming, though. Brian No. And that's one station that would never see the light of day on my preset or radio dial

No. And that's one station that would never see the light of day on my preset or radio dial FWIW, yes, I was being sarcastic. And agreed, Paul, I would NEVER set my dial there. Someday, though, someone's going to try it ... and somehow, we'll be told that "it's working." I shudder to think. Brian

I know. I'm shocked it hasn't been tried yet once the 24 hour Christmas music started and got earlier and earlier. Perhaps those in positions of power realize there is such thing as overkill and that would be it.

I checked here and the site is apparently up for sale, so there's no way to know for now.

I walked into a Lowe's last week to buy some paint and was aghast at how much Christmas crap they had already, in the middle of October.
If there were a true "war" on Christmas, I'd be on the front lines fighting to rid the world of this scourge. Besides, the holiday was stolen from the pagans by the Christians. Funny how many religious holidays fit that mold, eh?

I HATE Christmas with a passion..always have...always will...but I do like Fox News...

I'm bumping this thread up. About a good dozen stations will flip to all Xmas starting November 1st. Thus, we have to find stations for the next 2 months that will NOT prempt AT40 the 70s and 80s. Jack FM from Baltimore will air AT40 the 80s Sunday nights. CKWW will air AT40 the 70s on Sunday evenings.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Eeeeverywhere you go...as long as it's to a store because it was 82 degrees when we took Austin trick or treating tonight.
