I always listen to AT40: The 80s online by way of WQSR and I'm not sure if it's just my connection or if it's the station, but lately I've noticed that they sometimes cut to station ID's and spots in the middle of a track. Has anyone else noticed this? I get the feeling that it may be my connection.
BTW Shadster, I believe AT40: The 80s airs on WQSR Sunday night beginning at 8:00PM Eastern.

Any news on which years will At40 spotlight this week?
I'm gonna guess 1973 and 1986 will be the ones spotlighted this week.

Just wondering, but was "Sex As A Weapon" by Pat Benatar still on the chart that week?

Bummer on the 70s shows...they seem to be doing a lot of shows that were already on XM---in fact, 2/1/75 was on XM exactly a year ago!

This weekend's (2/9-10/07) edition of "Casey Kasem's American Top 40: The Eighties" will feature a rebroadcast of the show from 2/2/80, which was last heard on "American Top 40 Flashback" on 2/3/01.

Interesting note regarding the countdown from 2/2/80-Two of the songs are by artists who recently passed away:"Lost Her In The Sun" by John Stewart & "Longer" by Dan Fogelberg-Speaking of John Stewart,Anne Murray was in the top 20 with her version of "Daydream Believer",which had topped the charts 13 years earlier by The Monkees.

This weekend's edition of "American Top 10" features a tribute to singer-songwriter John Stewart, who recently passed away at the age of 68-John had a huge hit in the summer of 1979 with "Gold"-However,he'll be remembered for "Daydream Believer",which hit # 1 for The Monkees in 1967-Thirteen years later in 1980,Anne Murray reached the top 20 with her remake-Between the two versions,I prefer The Monkees.

Coming up this week is a new offering....2-19-83. Several Flashback shows had been used in recent weeks as I had to tweak my restoration procedures on the 80s shows. We've built up a new backlog of 'fresh' material and hope you enjoy the results....
