Scott, I always thank you for your updates and valuable info. By the way, the dates of episode you referred to for 70s and 80s are exactly the same as those to be on the air on XM during coming weekend. I would appreciate it if you would double-check the information. This weekend's (2/23-24/07) edition of "Casey Kasem's American Top 40: The 80s" features a rebroadcast of the show from 2/20/82. |

My source are the promos released to stations on Mondays or Tuesdays from Premiere. They're probably running the same shows on terrestrial radio and XM this week.

XM is running the same countdown that's scheduled to air on terrestrial radio this weekend,2/20/82-The only difference is that XM runs the countdown commercial free & you won't hear Ed Mc Mann play any countdown extras.

^Funny you should mention that, as my station "accidentally" skipped my least favorite song on the countdown this week (that would be "Kiss" by Prince). They suddenly cut to break as "That's What Friends Are For" (#29) was ending and when the commercial break ended, they were at #27, so they skipped over "Kiss" which is just fine with me.
I agree, though, "Rock Me Amadeus" can get annoying, especially the one that has the chronology of his life after the first chorus. They went with the other version, which is somewhat more tolerable.
