Once again, another top 40 show is ready to air on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. for the week ending June 14, 1969. This will be one of my favorites as most of these song (especially #17-40) I have not heard in quite a while. There is also 10 extra songs and a couple of surprises. Running time is 2 hours and 59 minutes, and it will repeat around 4:50 p.m.
Looking into next weeks show 6/15/1974 there will be three extra songs that are below the 40. Like predicting the extras for AT40 -- Can you guess the extras for this show coming?

At least you did 69 now. Last year when I did 7-3-69. The Minotaur by Dick Hyman was at 39 (or 38) and good LORD was it goofy sounding. One of the first songs to be all moog.

I believe Casey once referenced "The Minotaur" in 1972 when explaining the rising popularity of the Moog synthesizer, while also mentioning it was used for AT40's theme music. Hot Butter's "Popcorn" was also all Moog.

This week's top 40 show will be from June 23, 1984. Only one extra in the countdown and that is our #1 album cut of the week. The show runs 3 hours exactly (how often does that happen?) and will repeat around 4:47 p.m.
Still working on snagging that station in South Australia -- they liked the shows that I sent to them on CD.

A brand new (and interesting) countdown show is ready to air this Sunday. As many of you know on this board, that the very first AT40 show was on July 4, 1970. But they used the chart date of July 11th. and continue air each show with a chart date a week in advance until May 1, 1971. Sooooo what we are doing is counting down the top 40 song for the week that should have been on the very first AT40 show -- July 4, 1970. Also in this show we will unveil a feature called the "Lost Artist Spotlight" in which I will give the artist's bio and play 2 or 3 songs and tell you what are they doing now. Bobby Sherman heads off our very first artist on the show. Also we will play the longest song ever on (21:32) the show. Any guesses?, and our usual cut from the #1 album of the week. The show will run 3 hours and 9 minutes and will repeat around 5:13 p.m.
