LOL! I'm totally with you on that one. At least "Convoy" had a catchy chorus When you consider how many CB-themed records must've been rushed out that year... for "Knight" to be the 2nd-biggest to cross over to Pop is mind-numbing. Great job on the super-sized '76. There are plenty of songs that make us cringe now...but to portray a countdown and year without them would alter our history. We often reminisce our past as better/smarter/hotter than it really was. Older friends who were waxing nostalgic about how much better pop music was at their wedding in October 1974 were mortified when I showed them a top 20 including I Honestly Love You, Clap For the Wolfman and Earache My Eye !! Two of those three are decent to good pop singles. The third, though, is truly awful. I'm sure many couples who married in October '74 and for some time after used Livvy's #1 smash as their wedding song.

'Lousy' how? I've never noticed any problems with it. If only White Squirrel would ditch their 5-minute newscast at the start of the program I would be totally happy.

3/4/72 last aired the weekend of March 3-4, 2012 -- these were the extras: "No One To Depend On" - Santana (#41) "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" - Roberta Flack (#77; debuted) "Betcha By Golly, Wow" - The Stylistics (#60) 3/8/75 last aired on March 11-12, 2017 as a 'B' show. Last time it was played as an 'A' show was the weekend of March 6-7, 2010 (the same weekend 3/9/85 last aired). The extras both times were: "Philadelphia Freedom" - Elton John (#53; highest debut) "Shining Star" - Earth, Wind & Fire (#51) "How Long" - Ace (#89; debuted)

Casey said 'third week' at #1 for "Da Ya...". But it was the fourth! And when it did hit #1 it finally dislodged Chic’s “Le Freak”, the only song in AT40 history to have three turns at #1 in the same chart run—until now. This week Post Malone’s “Circles” returns to the top for a third time, after hitting #1 in November and then in January only to slip back behind other songs. BUT...”Le Freak”’s AT40 stats were under Billboard’s Hot 100, not Radio & Records or Mediabase which AT40 now cites for past data. So Ryan Seacrest proclaimed “Circles” the first hit ever to do that.

Didn't "On Bended Knee" by Boyz II Men also have three turns at #1 in late 1994/early 1995?

Didn't "On Bended Knee" by Boyz II Men also have three turns at #1 in late 1994/early 1995? Not in Radio & Records/CT40, where it had one run of six consecutive weeks on top, and I don’t think on the Hot 100. Maybe on the Billboard airplay chart used by Shadoe’s AT40 which of course ended right at that time?

KLFM & WMGN are airing the March 3, 1973 show this weekend. KOKZ is going with the 4-hour March 3, 1979 show. WMGN has re-designed their website and I couldn't find that info -- do you have a link to where they're keeping it now? www.magic98.com/on-air-schedule/#schedule

Btw Ken...how many AT40 shows have you Supersized and how many specials have you originally created?? For specials the biggest one was the #1 hits in chronological order. I also created the top 80 hits of 1973 (vs the original top 40). And of course the Christmas countdowns where I put in the audio AT40 couldn't find when the show was produced. Does that count? I've toyed with the idea of doing the top 80 of '71 and a full top 100 of 1979, but have been too busy with other stuff. For Supersizing, I'm not sure. Maybe a dozen of those? There appears to be an appetite for those since my stations streaming numbers skyrocket when I announce one of those is being played. That would be great Mr. Martin Top 80 of 1971 and a Top 100 of 79, I was hoping for your version of The Top 100 of 1979 because your station didn't air The Top 50 a few years back. I remember you said you don't like airing half countdowns in two week spans. So hopefully in the near future we can hear two updated versions of the year end specials.
