Right - other than that, no 1979 shows were ran during the time period in November/December when they offered only one regular show. Who knows - perhaps both shows will remain untouched. Wrong, here's Premiere's pattern of 1979 standalone shows since 2011... 12/24/2011: 12/22/1979 (4-hour show; began at #32) 11/17/2012: 11/17/1979 11/09/2013: 11/10/1979 12/12/2015: 12/15/1979 12/02/2017: 12/08/1979 It would be stupid if they leave those two shows plus 12/22/79 untouched for the aforementioned reasons! Wups - I meant to say that no 1979 shows ran in November/December since 2015 - save for the December 1979 show in 2017 which, as you said, might have been an exception because of Tom Petty's then-recent death, since his song "Don't Do Me Like That" was debuting on that very countdown. I'm just saying they might have decided to not play 1979 shows during the holiday as of 2016.

KLFM & WJRZ are going with November 11th, 1978. We should also have the 4-hour 1978 TONIGHT on WSQL unless we get thrown a curve? Live from Transylvania county....

WMGN is going with 10/30/71 this weekend. Unless I missed something, this is the only confirmed 1971 so far. Anyone know of any others?

Wow!-Premiere is starting to air the Christmas shows a bit early-I'm surprised they didn't wait till after Thanksgiving. They've been starting them the second weekend in November in many cases. That gives them 6-7 weekends prior to the final weekend of the calendar year to air the list of Christmas shows they've been going with (AT40s from 1971 and 1973, AT20/AT10 from 2003-2005). ETA: Looking ahead, with much of 2020 mirroring the 2015 calendar, that year the Christmas shows started on the weekend of 11/7, which is the first full weekend in November, and Christmas falling on a Friday.

I think that they've been starting with the Christmas B shows too early, but they apparently have to if the idea is to get every one of them (the 1970s AT40 specials and 2000s AT10) a turn, though that means the earlier ones are perhaps unfairly overlooked as many affiliates that switch to all-holiday music don't do so until later.
I liked it when the 1971 holiday special was first played in 2012 as the regular choice for all 70s affiliates the last week before Christmas, though they can't do that every year.

WKDK (airs extras) is a possibility. __________________________________________________________________________________ KOKZ finally acknowledged going with 4-hr 1978 show beginning at 8AM central tomorrow.

Anyone have a url to listen to WJJR? The 'listen now' button on their website pops up a player - which never works for me. It does not display a separate web address.
