WQMV went with last year's B show from 10/13/73. Strange, given the station aired the A show from 10/14/78 last year.

WQMV aired three 1977 shows with 'YLUML' last year. I just think the station aired the wrong show. WQMV has a history of airing additional episodes of show on federal holidays, so there could be another show airing on Monday. Update: WQMV aired 1977 show on Tuesday morning.

Who are the most likely candidates to play the 1970 show next weekend? The MBS stations on Sunday morning have gone with the 'A' show when the 70s are featured. So I would assume CFQM, CHNS, and CJYC would be your best bet as well too.

For 10/19/74, I'll go with:
"Sha-La-La (Make Me Happy)" "Wishing You Were Here" "Angie Baby"

And WMGN selected 1970, which I don't think they would have done until about a year or so ago.

Pete-Are the optional extras for 10/17/70 voiced by Casey? There should be a decent chance that "I Think I Love You" and "Tears of a Clown" are introduced by Larry Morgan since they are both songs that were moving up the Hot 100 that week (at #60 and #68 respectively). Ken Martin has created Casey-introed versions of songs like that in the past, but I think it's been a while since that's been done with ones below the top 40 and climbing. Lately it's mostly been done with the fabricated "#1 song of five years ago" type extras. One song that would've been a fun curveball extra is "Funk 49" by the James Gang--a classic rock staple that peaked at #59 and featured Eagle Joe Walsh on lead vocals, and has been used in a few commercials over the years.

Prediction for next week's show:
1st Guess - 10/30/71 2nd Guess - 10/25/75
According to post by Pete B. a few weeks back, there is but one 1971 weekly countdown remaining on the schedule for 2019. I'll guess that happens next week. I'll also guess that means there's a very good chance that the year-end special will be the Top 40 of 1971 this time around (a real stretch I know, since it's by far the one that's been played the longest ago of all 1970's year enders).
