Regarding "You're Having My Baby" by Paul Anka,He recieved the "Keep Her In Her Place Award" from NOW (National Organization Of Women) in 1974-NOW pretty much branded Anka a male chauvinist pig-To appease the feminists,Anka changed the title to "You're Having Our Baby" when he performed it in concert.

Looking forward to next week's show from 9/5/70-It'll be great to hear "Rubber Duckie" which is a certifiable guilty pleasure.

Goof of the Week: Casey said Joni's "Help Me" got to #10. It actually peaked at #7. Maybe he meant to say "got to the Top Ten"?

Wrong chart peak position given for the first hour extra: "Jazzman" almost became Carole King's second #1 single, peaking at #2, not #9 as stated. As a legendary NYC deejay used to say whenever he played it: "And now Carole King sings to her bra!" (Lift me, won't you lift me...)

I think you're referring to the late Dan Ingram on WABC.

Survived the three and a half minutes of audio torture at #39 and now can enjoy the rest of the show--love this era of music, mostly! I'm curious---do you also consider that week's #1 song by Mr. Anka audio torture? We all know LOTS of people would describe it as such. (And, yes, I agree with you on #39. The Alice Bowie part is mildly amusing, but the father/son spoken segment is obnoxious and disturbing.) "The world is coming to an end, I don't even care As long as I can have my limo and my orange hair" Casey quoting the lyrics of Alice Bowie... priceless!

Does anyone know which stations, if any, will be airing the bonus show, #1 Hits of the 1970s Part 6, this weekend? I'm wondering the same thing - especially if any stations will be playing the four-hour version. (I'm thinking that many stations will be doing this on Monday, so as not to pre-empt the regular weekly show).

Does anyone know which stations, if any, will be airing the bonus show, #1 Hits of the 1970s Part 6, this weekend? WHPY Nashville should have show Monday at 1 pm eastern. The station aired Part 3 on Labor Day last year, Part 4 on Memorial Day & Part 5 on July 4.

Picks:
* “Long, Long Time” — Linda Ronstadt. * “It’s Only Make Believe” — Glen Campbell. * “Song From ‘M*A*S*H’” — Al DeLory. (The movie that begat an iconic TV show.)

I just heard a promo of that show on Hippie Radio, but it indicated that they'll be playing Part 5 instead of Part 6. I guess we'll wait and see which one they go with.

Darn! I joined in nearly an hour into the broadcast, but that's OK, as I'm all "AT40'ed" out, at this point, as I just listened to Hippie Radio's broadcast of Part 5 of the #1 Hits of the 1970s" (plus, I did manage to catch the last two hours of part 6 earlier today). I'll just hope that Hippie Radio plays Part 6 sometime later this year (which they did seem to imply that they would) and I'll catch that first hour then
