Prediction for next week's show:
1st Guess - 7/20/74 2nd Guess - 7/23/77
1974 is ripe for a spin and this show has only been played once as an 'A' (in 2010).

A few countdowns to look forward to in the next month or so... WINNER -- July 27, 2019 - July 28, 1973 (stand alone)WINNER -- August 10, 2019 - August 9, 1975 (stand alone)WINNER -- August 17, 2019 (adjusted broadcast date) - August 21, 1971 (the A show)Thanks Pete... Hopefully among Premiere's Optional 7/28/73 Extras will be "Roll Over Beethoven" - Electric Light Orchestra which just missed the Top 40, peaking at #42 that week! I saw Jeff Lynne's ELO Sunday night and "Roll Over Beethoven" was the encore. Neither I nor any of the people around me were expecting it. The camera whose video is shown on the screen behind the band did a great job of focusing on the string section as they took their places and started playing.

I believe 8/9/75 is new to Premiere.

Well, my predictions were kind of close.
At least they're doing one of the adjacent 1975 shows. That leaves hope that they'll possibly exhaust the entire series by the end of 2020. If so, that would mean they'd do the 1972 show next week as well. I was kind of doubtful about them doing both 1971 and 1972 - since they have 1973 slated at the end of July, that would mean a cluster of early-70s shows within a month's time.
With this new info, 1971 and 1973 will both be exhausted in August.
Anyway, for the next two and a half months after the 1971 show will be repeats, since November is the next month that contains unaired shows.

I'm listening to the 15 Jul 1972 show on WSQL. Wasn't there supposed to be a listener question asked between #37 & #36??

In my copy from a prior airing there is a listener question before #38 (what artist has had the most chart hits without hitting #1) that Casey answers before #36 (spoiler alert...James Brown).

Thanks pb. That's the question I was looking for. Any idea where it went for this broadcast? Also do you know who asked it?

The question was asked by Joe Witkowski (sp?) of New York City. I have a copy of the original show, and I haven't been listening to Premiere's rebroadcast versions, so I'm not sure where the QL went. Funny how they keep changing things up like that (not funny haha... I'm sure it may frustrate some listeners, or get them wondering).

Maybe Premiere is following in the footsteps of SiriusXM--cut stuff out of the original broadcast and see if anybody cares.
