2 out of 3 for the second straight week and its the frickin 80s show that I didn't get each week. Guess I need to stop listeing to all you guys that say, "well they didn't play 1985 after such and such a date last year and then played the top 100 of 1985 so they won't play anymore 1987 shows this year for the same reason".

dukedeb--for the record, I have been one to assume we would hear one more 1987 song before the end of the year. Without investigating further, has Premiere ever played an 80's year less than twice during a half-year period?
I guessed '84 for this weekend, except I went with 11/17/84. A '78 show seemed too obvious. I need to start picking the SXM shows again...

I am hoping they could play November 26, 1983 on November 26, 2011. But given the fact that they played a 1983 episode not even 2 weeks ago, my hopes are not that high.
If I were to bet against 1983 that week, my money goes on November 24, 1984 for November 26.

Ok, the last 2 weeks I have gotten inside the 10 yard line but had to settle for field goals. Let's see if I can punch it into the end zone this time.
80s......11/28/81 70s.......11/27/71 SXM......11/24/73
Going with the longest drought years in all 3 cases.

I'm kinda leaning towards '81 for one reason: All three of the other '87 shows aired so far this year have come the week following an '81 show. Now that this one obviously isn't doing the same...what's the next best thing?

dukedeb--since I like reading this thread, I will chime in. I've had a touchdown and a field goal on the Premiere shows the last two weeks. Looks like if one of us finds the end zone this week, the other will not, except for the SXM show.
80's - 11/24/84 70's - 11/23/74 SXM - 11/24/73
SXM is pushing 6 months since a '73 show, which would rival the 6-month '75 drought they had earlier this year. Not sure why they choose to go so long between shows from a certain year sometimes, but it has to end sometime.

Ah thanks wahoo, but alas, they did not. Maybe I can complain enough the next few days and they will.....lol Seemed to work when you did that once IIRC. Oh well, that's 2 out of 3 right for 3 weeks in a row. Guess I'll have meatloaf instead of turkey on Thanksgiving. LOL....I had to change a certain word because the sensor changed it to pregnant dog. Changed word to complain BTW.

Here we go again. I doubt that I will get all 3 right this time either. Other than the 80s, I don't see any slam dunks. And even what you think are slam dunks sometimes bounce off the back rim...lol Football reference last week, basketball reference this time!
80s..........12/1/84 70s..........12/8/79 SXM.........12/1/73
I was tempted to go with 12/1 for all 3 but I think they will opt for the week that "Babe" hits #1 over Streisand and Summer since they just did a 70s show with Donna Summer at #1. And as for SXM, will they ever end their 1973 drought. Well the predicted show that was played by Premiere last year is the ONLY Dec. 73 not played by SXM. Go figure!

Not sure if even the 80s will be a slam dunk...for all we know, they might throw a curve and repeat 12/4/82!

OK here goes for next week. My Premiere predictions are posted as usual on those threads, but to add the SXM show. Somehow I have a feeling that SXM is going to do something stupid like decide to finally play '73, when we got that show on Premiere last year. Or they might do that with '78...at least that way we can tack on hour #1 to the recording of last year's Premiere airing.
80's: 12/1/84 70's: 12/6/75 SXM: 12/2/78

wahoo, you and I are the only ones predicting all 3 shows and we both got the goose egg! CRZ was right about the 80s. I was right about one thing though.....I said I would not get all 3 right.....lol
BTW, this is the third straight week that the 70s series and SXM series are doing back to back years.

Yeah, guess we did get a '75 show, but it was the wrong date and on the wrong network. Looks like I might have to guess '84 again for the 4th straight week. One way to eventually get one correct, right? Really surprised they went with '76 again, especially since it was played in 2009. I am beginning to wonder if the year-end special on the Premiere 70's series will be 1975.

84 HAS to be played one of these weeks and we can rule out 12/22/84 because that was played last year. So we have a 50/50 chance of getting it right....lol. I like those odds. Your mindset on the year end show for the 70s is opposite to people's mindset about the 80s. In the 80s, people are picking 87 because it has been played the least amount of times. Whereas in the 70s, 75 has been played the most times. There is no way I will get all 3 year end shows right either....lol www.elyrics.net/read/c/cowsills-lyrics/hair...-lyrics.html

I'm hoping that in the next week or two, they will play 12/13/80, the John Lennon show. They played this one 4 years ago. It would be great to hear it again.
