Just listened to this past weekend's show, and Paul Russell was phenomenal. Just a treat to listen to; very energetic, and just radiating happy vibes. Great show!

Brent had a nice bit on the show where he mentions that Casey announced their song "Second Chance" as the #1 song on Casey's last show. He said they play a soundbite of that at their concerts.

They did a good job. No chart activity mentioned but that is typical for guest hosts. Had an artist whose hey day was 20 years or so ago with a hit earlier in the year that only reached #30, Jennifer Lopez. Another such artist is doing a lot better with his comeback hit. That's Eminem whose "Houdini" is up to #16. He samples "Abracadabra" similar to how he sampled "Dream On" on "Sing For the Day". Speaking of "Houdini", Dua is surprisingly holding at 11 with "Illusion". I prefer that to her "Houdini". 2 other artists from 20 or so years ago have On the Verge tracks, the Black Eyed Peas who also sample an 80s hit in the style of Eminem's aforementioned hits. "Tonight Tonight Tonight" is the subject of the sample in their "Tonight". The other artist from the 2000s is Coldplay.

Next weekend will be guest hosted by LL Cool J. He's of course hosted the Grammys several times, among his many other media presences, so I'm thinking this should really be good.

LL Cool J as host makes me wonder -- how many guest hosts from the Seacrest era had top 40 hits in the 1980s? I can't imagine its been very many.

Noticed LL's voice track to begin H3S1 is the same as H4S1, cuz he said we were "halfway through our ride to the #1 song", and it sounded identical. Either laziness on production, or there wasn't a voice track recorded for Hour 4 open.

Here's a suggestion for a future Ryan Seacrest AT40 guest host: How about Vanna White guest hosting for Ryan Seacrest on AT40 for a week? This would be a connection with Ryan now as the Wheel of Fortune host.
