(Tomorrow, at least, I expect 2004 on there...) Indeed: 11/27/2004 goes for its 5th time tonight on KKMK.

There have been several shows from late 1991 lately (makes up for the lack thereof these past years I guess…) Since August there have been 4 shows: 8/24, 8/31, 10/12, 11/2. And as expected 1990 is getting the shaft these last three and a half or so months of the year. My guess is we won't see 1990 again until February. It's a shame since there's a lot of great music in the November/December 1990 era; a lot that just doesn't play on radio anymore.

Sometimes we at least get 11/24/90 with Rodney Dangerfield as the guest, but that week has passed over unfortunately. Even though it would be a repeat, I still would have listened to it again.

If 11/24/1990 comes around again, enjoy it. That was the only weekend in 1990 when Casey didn't count down the week's top 40 hits. He counted down the Top 40 Million Sellers Of The 1980s. There were several CT40 specials during 1990, and all but that one had a regular show produced along with the special. It is sad that late 1990 and very early 1991 get passed over. It's a mini era of music long lost.

New shows just got put up on the app: 11/26/88 11/30/91 12/1/01 88 is NOT 11/26 - that's Rick's Remakes of the 80s special. This show has a Sure Shot of "Two Hearts", so it's 11/19. 91 is NOT 11/30 - with a Sure Shot of "Emotions", is it instead 8/24. Only 2001 is correct - and the interesting thing is, this show aired only on KKMK last year. It's completely new to the app. (With that, I wonder if they'll just play it again next weekend? Tomorrow, at least, I expect 2004 on there...) I hope the Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 vintage app never makes date mistakes again when a few new shows are added in occassion. And speaking of ignoring the last 2 months of 1990 and early 1991, isn't there at least one early 1991 Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 episode on the app when "Do The Bartman" by Bart Simpson (also heard on Casey's Top 40, but shut out of Shadoe Stevens AT40 because of lack of commercial single and AT40 was still using the Billboard Hot 100 chart source in early 1991 a couple months before being replaced by the Top 40 Radio Monitor chart source) was on the Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 chart?

My records show that "Do the Bartman" was at the following positions on the following WT40 charts: 26 -- 12/22/90 9 -- 01/19/91 28 -- 02/09/91 Unfortunately, retro-Dees has never played any shows between 12/01/90 and 02/09/91 according to my records (not even the 1990 year end T90 countdown).

Keep on hoping, cuz Rick's website and app have been tagging the wrong dates for years and years. Don't expect any changes with that.

The date labels have updated:
December 6, 1986 December 4, 1993 December 6, 2003
But last week's shows are still on the app. Guess we'll find out soon if these are indeed this week's shows.

For D2k, 12/6/2003 it is.
The 90s show is an all request special; can't pin down the date. #40 is EMF's "Unbelievable".

Too bad Weird Al only made Casey's AT40 and Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 with a charted song only once - in 1984 with his parody of Michael Jackson's "Beat It" called "Eat It".
