Rick Dees Joins TKO Radio's Classic Top 40 Lineup "TKO Radio Network (TKO) inks Rick Dees to join its lineup of air talent. Dees will be replacing Charlie Tuna with a specialty weekend offering of his "Weekly Top 40" show featuring Classic Top 40 hits of the eighties. Rick Dees says, "We're excited about the partnership with TKO and the opportunity to add even more listeners and fun to the weekend with my Weekly Top 40, 80's Edition." TKO's Susan Thompson added, "This is a perfect match. The Dees name is synonymous with top 40 radio and we play only the best of the Classic Top 40 hits of the 60s, 70s and 80s. We are thrilled to add Rick Dees, household name and proven ratings giant, into our powerhouse-personality lineup."" Is he just offering his 80's shows? I'd be more interested in hearing his 1990s and 2000s shows, as currently they aren't re-running Casey or AT40 countdowns from those decades.

When I first saw "TKO Radio" I was wondering if he was going to do a show on MMA and Boxing!
So is this where his "classic" shows mentioned in an earlier thread are going? Or are those still available or going to be available to local markets for weekly syndication?

WQMA is now airing these Rick Dees 1980's shows. It's part of an amazing Saturday lineup that would appeal to any countdown fan. We start with "National Countdown Show with Al Gross" at 9am which covers the 50's and 60's. Then we head into the 70's with some classic Casey Kasem at 1pm, and then finally Rick Dees brings us the 80's at 4pm central time. Best Saturday lineup ever! www.q1520radio.com

Seems like they are doing a lot of mid 80's. This weekends year that airs today is 1986.

They are rebroadcasts of the 80's shows. They don't appear to have any songs removed or any material removed that I can tell. They do have EXTRA 80's songs added to the show before each segment to extend the total running time of the show to 5 hours. I do not have information about other affiliates.

Someone is syndicating the Dees 90s shows. I heard it by chance last week on the old kool 106 (genx radio now) in tulsa. from what i could tell they are airing it saturday morning 6-10 central.

We do. Under maintenance as I type this but everything will be back in plenty of time for the weekend. We're migrating to a new platform that will allow us to send pictures/videos along with the audio. It also works with most smartphones like Android phones. Join us on Saturday for nonstop countdowns with Al Gross, Casey Kasem, and Rick Dees back to back! www.q1520radio.com

hmm Apparently these shows are also being heard on this site: ampedfm.com/page/flashbackAnother affiliate, close to home for me, appears to be WAMS from Dover, DE. But their fm signals are only pumping 250 watts.

As far as I can tell, ampedfm is just a site that is playing the select 80's/90's shows released to rick.com. As far as I can tell or know, there is no official source to hear the 90's shows on radio. The company offering an 80's show (TKO Radio Network) is not offering a 90's show. And the TKO Radio Network is offering shows that are not available via rick.com Of the 5 or 6 shows we've received, only 1 was on the website. When you goto www.q1520radio.com, goto the "Listen Live Online" link on the left, then you'll see a Ustream box. You can click the tiny play icon at the bottom of that box next to the rotating arrows and then it should automatically go. If you click the gigantic play button it takes you directly to the Ustream site. The official name for the show is "Rick Dees Weekly Top 40: The 80's" and it starts Saturday at 4pm central right after Casey's 70's show.

You know what would be great, is if you could post what chart date will be featured each week, either here or on your website somewhere. How long is the show? WAMS has it at 5 hours. wow
