It was great to hear the original version of "December 1963" on the 1994 show instead of the inferior remix. Now if only they could have played the original version of "Lucky One". Re: "Lucky One" - the remix was played quite a bit on the radio and in countdown shows. I'm not sure if the original is in any of them; I'd have to listen to my shows (AT40, CT40, CC, CH20). Yep, we're almost in that little 2-month period where both AT40 and CH20 exist, the latter starting up on 11/5/1994. And I have a few Dees shows I can check into from fall 1994 as well.

This is the original version, correct?
AT40 should have it.

If it means anything, "AT40 should have it" was meant to be a hint as to the likely outcome.

Seems like later 1989-1990 is a "lost" era; Premiere's series ends in August 1988, and Dees hardly touches 1990. And the later we get in the year, the harder it is to find 1989. IMO, I still think there were a lot of great hits in that "lost" timeframe. It's a shame. Looks like that's come to pass; the radio version hasn't played a 1989 show since August.

WBEL Mostly90s.com isn't playing Rick today and I'm not sure why. Rick is still on their website schedule.

WBEL Mostly90s.com isn't playing Rick today and I'm not sure why. Rick is still on their website schedule. Hmmmm. WXCV (Citrus 95.3) is currently playing the show, if you don't mind joining in progress. www.citrus953.com/Having said that, unless you either don't have app access or don't mind listening to consecutive weeks, you might not want to tune in. Because guess what? They're playing October 26, 1991! Having said THAT: Apparently (according to your listings) neither this countdown nor November 2 has ever aired before now...so there's that. Also: This chart is not listed on Reception, so here's the matching chart courtesy of R&R (go to the last page). worldradiohistory.com/Archive-RandR/1990s/1991/RR-1991-10-18.pdfETA: There is no Sure Shot, as he does what he did in 1989, and plays "Thriller" as the first song in the show instead.

Because guess what? They're playing October 26, 1991! And now KZOY is playing this as well as I type this (though I'm not going to stick around for the whole thing), so there's your terrestrial 90s pick for the weekend. When was the last time it happened where the app and terrestrial radio played the same year in the same week/weekend, but played separate weeks?
