Rick Dees the 80s has updated from 05/03/86 to 05/10/86 for this weekend, as expected. Sure Shot is "Who's Johnny" by El DeBarge. Can you also PLEASE confirm if May 8, 1999 is actually from 2014 airing, or is it different 1999 show, May 1, 1999 from last year? The Rick 90s show is from 05/08/99. "Promises" by the Cranberries is the Sure Shot, and "Every Morning" by Sugar Ray returns to #1 after being knocked out by Cher with "Believe" for one week.

I still have the 1986, 1994, and 2001 show as most recent and only selection on my Rick Dees BYO app. I hope that this app won't have to be removed and reloaded every week if others out there have this weekends shows on theirs.

The update of the app is for the app itself, for its features, nothing to do with the content or shows, probably to fix bugs. The shows should be updated and app will not need to be touched , it is clear that rick.com is more popular and followed than this new app . The simply thing that the app has been updated is a good signal that it works, when apps are not updated that means they are failed and abandoned and there is no one behind.

They have now updated the Rick Dees BYO app. This weeks presentations are from: May 10,1986, May 8,1999, May 11,2002. They also changed the cover pics for each decade.

So we have someone that is young enough to be taking finals on this board. Did not know that. I listened to the May 1, 1999 CHR show yesterday in part because I thought rick.com would pick it for this week. Kind of a prediction that was obviously wrong. Rick really made me chuckle with one of his jokes. A guy said he got a female roommate because he claimed he had an extra room. His mom was not really buying it. Then he and his roommate noticed after his mom left that a gravy ladle was missing. So he emailed his mom and said I am not saying that you took the gravy ladle but then again I am saying you took the gravy ladle since it has been missing ever since you left. She emailed him back and said I am not saying your are sleeping with your roommate but then again I am saying that you are sleeping with your roommate because if she had been sleeping in her own bed, she would found the gravy ladle. Good one there Rick! Made me chuckle! So Cher went 3-2-3-1 the last 4 weeks with "Believe" and fell out allowing Sugar Ray to regain the #1 spot on the 5/8/99 show that is this week's 90s show instead. Did not hit #1 at R&R so Rick is obviously using his own chart here. Did hit #1 at Billboard so it is poetic justice that Rick used his own chart so that Cher could get her massive comeback hit to #1 on a national countdown too.

App goes ramdon, after segment H3S4 goes H4S5 and there is no way to get H4S1 so far . If they add D2K to rick.com, I could uninstall the apps, because they are a toy for kids, nothing reilable.

Thank you for this. I also like that you put up LW/TW's numbers. Rick seldom says the movement of the songs and it's hard to find in countdowns these days too. Only host of countdowns to consistently tell us the movements was Casey Kasem.

So you can't listen to listen to Rick's shows on your PC anymore? It can only be on mobile devices? Doesn't sound very convenient.

Right now rick.com webiste has changed and looks like BYO / Rick Dees Hit Music Apps and it looks like so panic, because right now there is no access to the shows on the new rick.com , all is under construction and we´ll see it later or all now will be via the app and that is the worst news ever about rick.com
No all the people have access to the mobile app and I dont think it is working outside the USA.

Site had to have changed in the last 24 hours because I went there yesterday and heard the beginning of 90s show (to see whether it was May 1 or May 8, 1999). Good thing I have these shows in my collection and can hear 2k show from 2002 as I type this. Btw, Sure shot that was missing from list above was "I've Got You" by Marc Anthony. WT40 challenge answer IMO is Britney. But it looks like you cannot hear shows on a PC. Did not want to screw around on the site forever to figure out if you could or not.

No, the shows are gone from a PC and if you could have the app in your main smartphone, show audio will stop when receiving a phone call, a SMS, etc, so that is not a way to listen to a chart show, imagining that someone could have a smartphone or tablet only for the porpouse of hearing rick dees.
IMHO if rick.com ramains like a promo website to inform about the app, an app that has a national market , this could be a sure shot to rick dees feet.
