Somewhat disappointed to see and read all this - I was catching the HAC shows for almost the last couple of years on rick.com. Guess I'll be catching more of the AT40 channel on iHeartRadio - would rather not tie up my phone for Dees' shows. Distantly hoping the shows can be heard again via website, which was lacking attention in spots over the last year and change...

The app isn't working right. Sometimes after a segment it will not load the next one. So you have to close out the app, open it again and go back to the first segment. And they only give you 6 skips so it's a pain.

Yes, the app needs more improvement work before leaving all the shows depending on only the app, I imagined rick.com´s destiny was to end , but this has been hapenned too fast, 2 weeks ago nobody knew about the app and now it is all that exists in order to listen to Rick Dees´s shows on demand , the transition has been so dramatic and I know most of Rick Dees´s show fans will be left in the way.
For example , it took me more than 9 hours of trying the app for listening to the D2K show last saturday with the app installed in 6 devices . I think only a freak like me does that, no many people are ready for this. Bye Dees.

He is promoting the new app on the current show. Says you can hear countdowns from previous decades on it. Maybe it's me but he is implying that there are many old shows available. But it could just be the one show apiece from the 80s, 90s and 2000s for the current week. Current show WT40 challenge is Adam Levine IMO.

I was looking forward to listening to the 05/08/99 show in the next few days, but since it isn't available on the website anymore I will probably not get the opportunity to do that. I may go shopping for a smart phone in the next couple of weeks, but probably not in time for this week's shows.

But it could just be the one show apiece from the 80s, 90s and 2000s for the current week. I havent tried the 80s and 90s on the app, but maybe the app adds extra bonus hours like 2DK, I dont know, I have had enought nightmares with trying to hear the 2002 shows in full and then the 2 extras hours from the november 2008 show as an extra content, maybe the 80s and 90s do the same with extra content, whatever it could be so nice if the app works nice like tunein radio or iHeart Radio app, but working like that, one needs to be a gadget hero, with an app that crashes, asks continously to re login, plays segments in random, skips segments, asks if you are still listening to meanwhile pauses the audio, because you need to touch the mobile device, and more and more bugs like that... No dees time to axe the website we all know and love. and I forgot , an app that is invented for subscribers, who knows if 30 days after installation the apps ask for subscription if you want to access the contents, maybe we are all in a trial with the app, I really dont know... I hope paid part is only for those who want to Build Your Own Channel or being a DJ...

So I listened to the 2002 show on the app today and had no problems whatsoever. Don't know about the 80s show as I obviously prefer to hear AT40 80s as they offered the same 1986 week. However, for the 1999 show which is new to me, it kept freezing up after segments ended and I was out of "skips". Pretty stupid to have a limited number of skips. I will never pay for this app and really hope none of us ever will. But that is a good point made earlier about this app being created in the purpose of profit. Hope not.

The one on my phone was simple, but like someone else said, listening to a countdown show on your phone is not the way to go. After many attempts, I finally got the app on my iPad Mini and have been listening that way. The end of each segment seems to be a bit rough, but other than that, I haven't had any problems. I've only attempted the current CHR show. I used to listen to all 4 versions each week at work on my PC. Not sure if I'll take in my iPad every day or just listen at home from now on.

So once again, I can't get past Hour 1, segment 4 on the 1999 show. Twice this has happened where I'm unable to listen to hours 2,3,4 on the app for that year. Is this happening to anyone else?
