1987 hasn't been either Premiere's A or SXM's show since the beginning of July, so it's overdue on both services. 1981 of course is next week's main Casey show.

I went through the On Demand version of the show because of the off chance that the announcement might have been cut off and apparently it'll be 1981. At least it's not 9/19 for the thousandth time. Meanwhile 82, 84, and 87 are still overdue. On the other hand, I guess it makes up for them waiting three months to feature 81 the last time. And they'll be copying Premiere too

It occurred to me that we just got back-to-back shows featuring the only two top 40 hits of the 80s by UB40.

Maybe they well mention after todays 11am ET airing (on now...) They sure did--I was attentively looking and listening at the end of the show. I am impressed that #1 omits the offensive term for gays. Way to go VJ Countdown.

Ok, I have sent the PD an e-mail with concerns regards to the repeated charts, as well as the VJ Big 40 Countdown errors the channel makes every week. I requested the following to happen, to give fresh new charts, to not repeat charts 1-2 years ago and if they do or more, replay the shows back when the chart date was first used, as well as hiring a fact checker/copy editor to get the information right. Hopefully something will be done and that I'll get the response I'll be looking for, but not holding my breath... By my unofficial count last week's 1985 was the most messed up show yet. Didn't someone mention there was a new honcho in charge? Maybe it's time to reach out again if you still have correspondence info. Dear Mr/Ms new Honcho:
I didn't have much luck with your predecessor but would you be able to assist in cleaning up these countdowns.
Respectfully,
Casey lite listener

Or just invite them to view this Forum, specifically the VJ Countdown Error Thread.

I don't think they will ever care about how many times they mess up no matter how many times we e-mail them about it, especially since I'm not as adamant about spotting even the tiniest of flubs while listening unlike a certain someone.

They finally played the correct version of "Say Goodbye To Hollywood" today. Will they do the same for "Mony Mony" next week?

1984 should be next, and if 1982 follows 1984 the following week, then all ten different years will be played without a repeat. This would be the order for the last eight weeks: 89,80,86,83,88,85,81,87(this Friday). Can we be that lucky?

This would be the order for the last eight weeks: 89,80,86,83,88,85,87(this Friday). Can we be that lucky? I'd strongly advocate for switching those two years, and going with 1982 first. Otherwise, we will get heavily-repeated charts in both cases. (Also, 1984 seems like a probable choice for Premiere that weekend so there'd be another overlap.)

Amended earlier post before Michael 1973's post to include 81 as one of the 8 previous years played.
