Any chance they'd play 5/20/78? I don't think its been played since 2008 unless I missed it along the way. Is it verboten to play dates 'early' (2 days early in this case)? --DDA 11/28/70 was aired early by XM last fall so it can't be ruled out, although I think 5/20/78 has a very good chance for next weekend. I actually hope XM goes with 1975 this weekend because 5/7/77 was aired by Premiere last week & 5/29/71 is likely to be aired by Premiere next week. Guest hosted 5/13/78 was aired by SXM as a Wheel of Casey show in 2020.

AT40 playing Got To Give It Up (Part 2) by Marvin Gaye at #9. I thought they had corrected this error by the time the song made the Top 10 (I guess not).

AT40 playing Got To Give It Up (Part 2) by Marvin Gaye at #9. I thought they had corrected this error by the time the song made the Top 10 (I guess not). I think they also did so the following week (5/21/77) when it moved up to #5, before switching to the correct side (SXM played 5/28 as a "Wheel of Casey" show last month and Part 1 was played). I guess I can understand playing the "wrong" half of a two part record once, but it shouldn't have taken a month for someone to figure out that most of the actual song was Part 1. Premiere at least edits in the correct side when it replays these April/May 1977 shows, but apparently not Sirius XM.

Complete with 'funky kicks' at #39! ...and speaking of 'risque' lyrics, probably a good thing that 'Back In the Saddle's' are not better articulated by Mr. Tyler. I'm sure some affiliates would've had a fit if they were! Also helps that on this show at least the second verse is cut.

So far this '77 show is a real 'chop shop'. "Undercover Angel" just got its guts chopped out of it, and I'm sure it won't be the last one. Being one of the two biggest movers on the chart didn't spare it from the chopper.

For anyone who may have noticed, Sirius XM has played all nine years without a repeat over the past nine weeks. 1978 is the longest without play, but that is a "B" for this week over at Premiere. Premiere is playing 5-27-78, so maybe Sirius might play 5-20-78. We'll find out tomorrow when Skuncle gives us the year of play. Happy Memorial Day to all, especially veterans.

Wheel of Casey: they asked “Where were you on February 22, 1975?” (Probably sucking on some nutrients from my mother’s placenta.)

On this show Casey answers a letter about the Top 5 staying in the same position and mentioned a chart from 1958. I recall doing a Cash Box Countdown where the Top 7 stayed the same in 1967 (January 21, 1967). Of course, that is nothing like the Frozen 14.

1974 again? They just featured that year three weeks ago.

Maybe they are making up for the fact they waited from January to May to have the second show of 2024 featuring 1974. Three weeks later is a big overcompensation.
