While I don't know what the chart is, if the # 1 song is still "Second Chance", I feel that will be a very interesting song as Casey's last number one. The final lyrics "Sometimes Goodbye Is a Second Chance....." will be an eerie way to wrap up 39 years. Interestingly, the last song ever spun by Casey on AT40 was "When I'm Gone" by 3 Doors Down--the #1 song on AT40's 2003 year end countdown. Actually, he did the first weekly show of 2004 as well, and "Hey Ya" was #1 then.

Actually, he did the first weekly show of 2004 as well, and "Hey Ya" was #1 then. Ok, looking through the Pulse Music boards, you're right. Casey's last AT40 was on the weekend of January 3-4, 2004, using the Radio/Records chart for 12/19/03. I thought that the first weekend of 2004 was the conclusion of the year end countdown. I didn't get AT40 locally at that time; in this market it returned immediately afterward, as Ryan Seacrest and Mediabase came in.

^ Actually, Casey did 1 more show after the Year end countdown. The 1st survey of 2004, 1-3-04. The #1 song that week was, "Hey Ya" from Outkast. The full chart can be found here: shad.is.dreaming.org/charts.html
And yea, the nearest affiliate to DC was Q94 in Richmond. I actually listened to the beginning of Casey's last show FROM Q94. I was hoping for part II of the year ender. Q94 was 1 of many stations that did NOT receive part II of that show.

At the closing of this week's show, Casey did NOT refer to any kind of special countdown program for the next week. It means that we will have a regular (but grand finale) AT20 show during the weekend of July 4-5. (The same is also applicable to the AT10 show.)

As long as I know there's gonna be a regular weekly countdown but it may have some interesting features and the same for AT10.
