I’m guessing KMXG (96.1 FM) in the Quad Cities will play 1972. Historically they’ve played the “A” program.
Which, if that’s what happens, means that — depending on where you live/are driving in eastern Iowa, it’ll be possible to tune in bith KMXG and KOKZ to hear both the 1972 (11 a.m. CST Sunday on KMXG) and 1978 (8 a.m. CST Saturday on KOKZ).

So the 1978 countdown is the complete version as heard in 1978 (except minus the first and fifth hours for some stations), and not the Premiere-edited three hour version that's been used before? If so I wonder why they didn't choose to air it on its own; while the decision to use 1972 as the A makes obvious sense as it's never been aired by Premiere in any form, couldn't the complete 1978 be used next year? Exactly my thoughts... and it's going to be a real challenge to find a station that will play not only the 1978 top 100, but all 8 hours (with a good steam). If '78 had been the A, it would be much easier to find that. Is WODC going to play 1978? I hope so but they may go for 1986.

WTOJ will play all 6 hours of the 1972 countdown non-stop on Sunday 12/30 beginning at 9 AM Eastern (and the 1972 countdown will be in stereo). Then, on 1/6/19 beginning at 9 AM it will be all 8 hours of the 1978 countdown, non-stop.

WATN is news/talk. It's only oldies on Sunday night. It will not be carrying the regular AT40. Ken - does WTOJ have a non-Christmas stream with AT40 this year? I followed the rdo.to/wtojxmas link you provided last year on Sunday at 9 ET and AT40 wasn't on. That was a failed experiment and we won't be doing that again.

Any word on what show WSQL will be playing tonight? No AT40 as of 6:10 eastern time,so I'm guessing 1972.

Coming in at #69 for the year 1972 seems too low for a #2 record with 11 weeks in the 40 like "Hurting Each Other". Especially since this was AT40's own chart rather than 'Billboard's.

Can't find that post, help!!
