Ok, I have sent the PD an e-mail with concerns regards to the repeated charts, as well as the VJ Big 40 Countdown errors the channel makes every week. I requested the following to happen, to give fresh new charts, to not repeat charts 1-2 years ago and if they do or more, replay the shows back when the chart date was first used, as well as hiring a fact checker/copy editor to get the information right. Hopefully something will be done and that I'll get the response I'll be looking for, but not holding my breath... It might be time to reach out to that honcho again. Dear Mr/Ms Honcho: Please provide an update on my request. If you are not the correct person, can you gave me the name of another honcho that would be able to assist in cleaning up these countdowns. Respectfully, Casey lite listener

3/21/87 it looks like, and if that list of remaining unused chart dates several pages back is correct, this is the last March 1987 chart that hasn't been done yet.

What about 1988? It's not too often that years are back to back--wondering if it will happen in two weeks?

I'm actually glad that 1988 isn't up next. I realized last week that even though 3/26/88 would have been a new chart for us, ten weeks later would have been 6/4 (played twice in recent years) and another ten weeks would have been 8/13 (aired last year and so the rest of 2024 would have been charts we heard last year.)
Also, I heard that the guy who was programming 80s on 8 has been laid off. I wonder what (if anything) that means for the station programming going forward.

Was he fired around a month ago when it was announced that the layoffs would be happening? I haven't noticed anything that different with the station yet besides Nina semi-retiring. As for 1988, I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't done it yet this year because of what happened last year with them playing it twice within three weeks during the summer. I'm sort of hoping they hold it off until the beginning of April to really ensure we won't get stuck with 6/4 again.

Can't plan on the 10 weeks anymore--after last year 1988 was played twice in two weeks, plus so far 1988 hasn't played at all, and it was not 10 weeks between 1980 and 1987 which have played twice already this yeaer.

If I could give them any ideas, it would be to get their act together, and not make blunder after blunder. I still think they should give the position on the chart, song title and artist PERIOD.

Next week it'll be all about 1981!
Considering that they said this week was 3/21/87 even though it WASN'T, I'm guessing they're going with 3/28/81, unless they decide to go with the first week of April instead.
I'm hoping it's 1984 followed by 1988 next.

Maybe they are giving 1988 a rest since that year was played six times last year.

I'm hoping it's 1984 followed by 1988 next. I'd rather see 1988 next after 1981. We're almost through the period of consecutive 1988 shows that have not yet aired. 4/9 is the last such show. If we could get that and then a ten-week cycle for the rest of the year, it would be really great. (Thus, I have little faith it will actually happen.)

Honestly I only went with that order because 4/14/84 was done last year.
