There's another similar thread out there, which I've commented on in the past. My favorite is the entire 1984 jingle package, although I like the 1985 opening jingle a little better than the 1984 "spacey" open, though not by much. And Shuckatoom runs a very close second. My least favorite? The 1992-1995 jingles. I just associate those too much with the show's demise...and just wasn't crazy about the sound overall. Agree with this, except I would put the 1984 package as my favorite, with the 85-87 package right behind. Probably 1979-82 after that. I don't care for the 90s, mostly because like everything else associated with AT40 during that time, it felt like it was trying too hard to be hip and cool.

The entire 1984 jingle package was perfect, and I like everything with it, from the number jingles, to the theme beds. When AT40 changed the opening theme on the 1/26/1985 show, replacing the "spacey" one, I really took a liking to it. But they left everything else from the 1984 package, up until four weeks later, when several additional bumper jingles debuted in the 2/23/1985 show. I like most of them as well, but they still don't top the 1984 jingles, IMO. Several of the 1984 bumpers would be gone by late spring 1985, though a few of them continued through the 3/28/1987 show.

My favorite AT40-theme song: Definitely 1987.
