1990 this week. Appears to chart of March 3, 1990 This chart has never been played before. I believe it's the first time in 2024 that we heard a "new" chart. And good timing too, since the 3/10 chart has been played four times already. Even more unusual, the 80s countdown also featured a "new" chart.

1994 this week. Appears to be the chart of March 19, 1994.
Downtown Julie Brown doesn't sound well/like herself (cold?) Unlike 80s on 8, DTJB does the whole countdown, so not like she can take a day off!

Whether her health, Julie messed up factually in this show when she said Zhane (in here with “Groove Thang”) were British when they’re actually from Philadelphia.
Otherwise she did fine but her vocal range sounded flatter or more limited than usual.

Unlike 80s on 8, DTJB does the whole countdown, so not like she can take a day off! On rare occasions, the show has been guest hosted. Lisa Loeb filled in at least once. This week's show featured another screw-up on the part of the writers. Julie Brown claimed that 1998 was the year of the catch phrase "Is that your final answer?" from the show "Do You Want To Be A Millionaire?" First off, that show debuted in 1999. Secondly, that wasn't the name of the show. This isn't rocket science...

This week featured the chart from 4/3/99, a rare "new" chart for this show.
Julie Brown began the show by referring to Everlast as "they." It's crazy to me that these former VJs, after decades in the music business, simply read whatever copy is put in front of them rather than have actual knowledge about the artists.

Apparently they do too, and Kanye as well now that he's too far down the anti-Semite rabbit hole. They briefly cut Kanye West from the Pop 2K countdown last year, but then restored him. R. Kelly is still banned from the 90s and 2000s countdowns. Will R. Kelly ever be unbanned from 90s and 2000s countdowns? What about the 1990's and 2000's Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 rebroadcasts when R. Kelly has a song on the charts?
