Turning to the AT10 (AC) Top 60 Christmas Countdown from 2005: Casey mentions that a song in the Christmas countdown "Same Old Lang Syne" by Dan Fogelberg which ranks #26 in the Christmas countdown has nothing to do with Christmas. (Though it was on the AT40 chart January 1981 to March 1981!) But it may or may not be out of place for Christmas holidays. As a purportedly true Christmas Eve encounter is the entire storyline of the song, I'd say it is definitely related to and appropriate for the season.

What about "Linus and Lucy" by Vince Guaraldi? That's out of place for all Christmas music formats. And has it been heard on any Christmas AT20/AT10 shows?

Well for we Boomers, it’s an association with the Charlie Brown Christmas…1965 and subsequent years, a TV special that was a huge deal back then. Only once a year, no VCRs, so it was appointment viewing and a holiday tradition. Peanuts was like the Beatles of comic strips back then, for some reason.

Right with you up until your final three words. I'd say '...for obvious reasons'.

I guess the appeal was seeing children voicing grown-up anxieties and a dog as a role-model to just let it be. That was groundbreaking.

There's a song on AT40 that might sound out of place - "Snookeroo" by Ringo Starr (The B side of Ringo's "No No Song" that charted on AT40 Spring 1975) since it mentions Halloween twice in the song's lyrics.
