No change in the rankings this week (March 13), although The Spinners are just 1500 votes away from taking 10th place from Rage Against the Machine, and Sheryl Crow is now just 2K votes away from Kate Bush for 8th place. George Michael now has a 12,000 vote lead over Cyndi Lauper for 1st place.

Here's the weekly update for March 27: * George Michael is now leading Cyndi Lauper by 25,000 votes with George nearing 575,000 votes. * Cyndi Lauper has 150,000 more votes in 2nd place than Warren Zevon has for 3rd place. * Iron Maiden has a slim lead over Soundgarden for 4th place. * As trekkielo has noted, The Spinners overtook Rage Against The Machine this past week. * All others hold their same place from last week. * Missy Elliott is just shy of 100,000 votes in 13th place while A Tribe Called Quest is just shy of 85,000 in last place. Voting still goes on for another 30 days. |

April 10 quick update... Kate Bush is now in 7th place with Joy Division/New Order slipping to 8th place. Everyone else holds steady from last week.
The last day to vote is Friday, April 28.

I'm a day late with my update. As of 5pm on April 18...
* George Michael has over 875,000 votes with 10 days to go. Will he make it to 1 million votes?
* Cyndi Lauper now has 800,000 votes.
* Warren Zevon has over 550,000 votes.
* Iron Maiden has almost 395,000 votes.
* Soundgarden has over 370,000 votes.
* Willie Nelson has almost 355,000 votes.
* Kate Bush has just over 305,000 votes.
* Joy Division/New Order has a 1,000 vote lead over Sheryl Crow for 8th place.
I believe the Top 5 get in. The question is how many more will be admitted this year? Last year, the Top 8 were admitted.

With only two days left for voting, George Michael just passed 1,000,000 votes, and Cyndi Lauper now has over 900,000 votes. Warren Zevon, Iron Maiden and Soundgarden round out the Top 5. No other changes to the order from last week.
