U'd like to know, is this Kate Bush song that re-entered AT40 recently a remix or is it the original 1985 recording? The last time an old song re-entered AT40 was, I believe, "December 1963 (Oh What a Night)" by The Four Seasons. On its second chart run in 1994, it was a remix. I wouldn't be shocked if this latest chart run for Bush's song is a remix. No. It is the original. And yes, the last time a song that had been gone for a long period of time re-entered AT40 was, "December 1963 (Oh What a Night)". Should be an 'Upside Down' remix...

Why does AT40 no longer use Billboard? If AT40 used the Billboard Hot 100, any large artist release would create 10+ debuts into the top 40 like Harry Styles or Drake. Then, the following two weeks would show those songs falling off the 40. It's a result of the chart methodology changes that don't require songs to be "singles" and the inclusion of streaming play.

Don't forget when old Christmas songs pop on the Billboard Hot 100 during the Christmas holiday season for about a month.

And is up to #17 on AT40. Prepare for a big jump next week, even jumping Beyonce. I am predicting it will be #12 next week.

"Running Up That Hill" is presently # 10 on the Mediabase AC chart. It is number eight on CHR, and looks like it could go up possibly much higher. Wild times.

fascinated by the chart run of this song I've noticed something strange ...checking all the "currently playing" from various iHeart NOWS & KISS stations not one has had it in rotation and this is after many weeks and hours of monitoring...considering how far reaching iHeart is in multiple markets I wonder if this will ultimately handicap it's ability to go #1...that is a sizeable amount of stations not playing this song...why I have no idea ...weird they would sleep on this song and ironic that it would obviously be on the current AT40 carried by many of these stations

From New York to Seattle iHeart stations are not playing it. Just like you I am amazed that it is still going up on MB, and for that matter Billboard, the way it is.

I guess it is safe to declare that Kate Bush scores her first top 10 hit in the U.S., and it was worth waiting 37 years.
It makes me wonder if the new found success of this hit may motivate Kate Bush to return to the recording studio and record an album of new material?
