Not really sure if I should edit the old post, or make a new post. Looks like I've committed to something here.
3354 A Taste Of Honey 3233 Extreme 3065 Climax Blues Band 2998 Maxine Nightingale 2880 Gloria Gaynor 2786 Silver Convention 2717 Jesus Jones 2648 Robbie Dupree 2597 Tara Kemp 2545 a-ha 2532 Golden Earring 2496 Tone Loc 2276 Exile 2264 EMF 1987 Johnny Hates Jazz
I will continue to add to this list, and I will continue to double and triple check my numbers.
As far as being a real threat to A Taste Of Honey and Extreme, I guess I should check Donna Lewis next? Are the following the only acts we're missing?
Donna Lewis Ugly Kid Joe Tommy Page Timmy T C.W. McCall Murray Head Enya Kiara Vanilla Ice Tracy Chapman Benny Mardones Contours Nu Shooz Falco Crowded House Pink Floyd Maureen McGovern Will To Power

I am interested in Donna Lewis for sure, and Vanilla Ice, just on optics, should be similar to Extreme. As far as Benny...didn't "Into The Night" re-enter the Hot 100 instead of being a new song? Same with the Contours? Semantics, but still.

Great response to this topic! That being said, I am going to go ahead and give you the biggest five hit wonder of all time: Milli Vanilli. And I have Wham! down for biggest six hit wonder on my scorecard 😂

giannirubino Do Crowded House and Will To Power. Interested in those for sure. And from an R and R standpoint, Chumbawumba would be fascinating as well.

Not the biggest, but there's Tracy Chapman. Fast Car (#6) & Give Me One Reason (#3) I guess we can give special mention to the Contours and Benny Mardones for being one-hit wonders twice.... Now that I know Tracy Chapman qualifies for this… I gotta put her in first place with Tone-Loc and Climax Blues Bland tied for second. Good info. :-)

Dan Hill 1978-"Sometimes When We Touch" #3 1987 (w Vonda Shepard)- "Can't We Try" #6 Golden Earring "Radar Love" (1974) & "Twilight Zone" (1983). The Dan Hill and Golden Earring references are notable in that it put both in an odd club of artists that had just two career top 40 hits where both songs charted nine years apart: Dan Hill - "Sometimes When We Touch" (1978), "Can't We Try" (1987) Golden Earring - "Radar Love" (1974), "Twilight Zone" (1983) Brenda Russell - "So Good, So Right" (1979), "Piano In the Dark" (1988) Dwight Twilley - "I'm On Fire" (1975), "Girls" (1984) General Public - "Tenderness" (1985), "I'll Take You There" (1994) (this one counts if we're allowing the Shadoe and/or CT40 era songs) And funny thing with Dan Hill's "Can't We Try", his duet partner was Vonda Shepard--also a two-hit wonder, but her hits were 11 years apart ("Can't We Try" and 1998's "Searchin' My Soul"). There are probably others, but each of the above are all 2-hit wonders in the AT40 era. As an aside, I found an article on the interweb a few months ago that listed the greatest two-hit wonders of all time. Included in the list was Corey Hart...really dude? The guy literally had nine top 40 hits, including four that made the top 20...
