I just got my weekly ACC newsletter and at the bottom there was a message saying "If you are not hearing ACC with Kix Brooks in your area, call this number". I wonder how many people have wondered why they are receiving this bizarre Kix Brooks newsletter and all this information about the "new" American Country Countdown...yet still are hearing Bob Kingsley count 'em down to number one.

Most probably believe its spam, so they are deleting it.  And by default, they aren't calling that number. |

Since I don't give a crap about Superbowl halftime shows, I decided to do something painful...but constructive. I checked an online stream and can verify the local trained apes (WQIK) are running ACC on Sunday nights. I heard about 1 minute of it, there is NO WAY I will ever listen to this show again unless I am hard up for a radio show and it is the only one available, or if by accident (like if the dial got stuck in the car or something). Kix sounds like one of those twangy Southern Gospel radio station hosts. He needs to stick to singing and never speak a word again.

Speaking of WQIK, did you see them in their new careerbuilder.com ad on the Superbowl? They looked great! And it was great to see the Mayor's cabinet in the other office of the commercial also. ;D

Nope, Dinosaurs at 4 is still pretty much the case. Wills, Sweeting, Winterling, and Kouvaris are still there.

Back to the ACC/CT40 talk....K105 in Youngstown, WQXK-FM, one of the stations that stuck with the ACC name is now airing CT40 in the Sunday morning 8-Noon slot. Not sure if they moved Kix or dropped Kix, but Bob is back on Sunday morning.

ACC loses yet another station as WBEE in Rochester flips from ACC to CT40 in both sunday timeslots.

To the country music fans on the board, are any of you listening to Kix Brooks?? I'm not a country fan, but I have flipped the show on a few times just to hear him do a talk break, and I literally could not stomach any more than that.
If Bob had any concerns at all, they should be all but gone right now.

nope, if I was told ACC was cancelled or they had a new host I would have no reason to doubt the person telling me since I neither listen to the show nor care about finding it.

Heres an update that takes me by surprise:
Before Kix Brooks, WGAR/Cleveland already aired a boatload of countdown shows. Their schedule was:
Saturday:
6a-9a: Ben & Brian's Top 20
Sunday:
8a-Noon: ACC with Bob Kingsley
9p-Midnight: Jeff Foxworthy's Countdown
When Kix came on board, WGAR put Bob's CT40 in ACC's old timeslot and put ACC with Kix on Sunday afternoon from Noon-4.
In the last two weeks, however, they have dropped both Bob Kingsley and Jeff Foxworthy - and have moved Kix to Bob's old timeslot of 8a-Noon on Sunday.
Bummer.

It gives me great pleasure to announce the list at the top of this thread is updated with a NEW CT40 affiliate! WPCV Winter Haven, Lakeland, ORLANDO FL!!!!!!! I confirmed it personally last weekend ;D
