Found my first station running ACC: KVRP Abilene, Texas stream: mms://64.232.162.165:4040The guest host is Michael Jay, and they are only doing the top 40 of the year. Just now mentioned "our new host" Kix Brooks and his partner Ronnie, have the #22 song. I don't know if they are using the same year-end chart as Bob's CT40 is, since this is the first I've heard of either.

Although the shows wont air until tomorrow, I have gotten email confirmations that WGAR/Cleveland and WGYI-WGYY Oil City/Meadville will be running Bob's new show. I do not know if this is in addition to or instead of ACC, will do my best to find out this weekend with Cleveland, and later in the month when I return to school for Meadville.

PS-
Paul...how did Bob's new show sound? Is it a Casey's Top 40/American Top 40 deal?

I do not know if this is in addition to or instead of ACC, will do my best to find out this weekend with Cleveland, and later in the month when I return to school for Meadville. It will be ironic if WGAR doesn't run ACC, considering the dedication letter that Michael just read was from a listener in Ohio who "listens on WGAR in Cleveland." Michael is saying "sitting in for Kix Brooks", an odd thing to say since Kix has yet to host his first show, but I guess they want to hype Kix as much as they can. They have new jingles, it really is AT40 all over again, they sound like the "hip" jingles they gave Shadoe in 1992. So far, I've heard: #22 Brooks & Dunn, Play Something Country #21 Joe Nichols, What's A Guy Gotta Do? ACC Mailbag: Kenny Chesney, Who You'd Be Today #20 George Strait, You'll Be There Paul, can you confirm whether that's the same chart that Bob is using or not?

My guess is ACC is using Billboard's Year-End country chart, and they have exclusive rights to the Billboard chart. Therefore, my guess is Bob wil be using an airplay chart. 1989 anyone?

Well, of course, but Bob's been using an airplay chart since 1990. But I have discovered that you are correct, ACC is using the official Billboard year-end chart, which I'm kinda glad about, I always wanted ACC to use that, just didn't want a host change to bring it about.

I thought ACC had been using the Billboard chart. I have never really listened to ACC or country music, so I haven't payed much attention, but I was always under the assumption it was the Billboard chart they had used.

What he means is that Billboard's Country chart has been airplay-only based since 1990.

Here's a huge affiliate to add to the "still has ACC" list:
KWNA Winnemucca, NV

I only heard a few minutes of the show, the jingles sound very similar to what you would have heard on ACC. What's interesting to note is the segment I heard Bob didn't reference the name of the show. As he closed the hour out (hour 2) he said something to the effect of "Bob Kingsley doing our annual yearly survey of the biggest country hits of the year, we'll continue in a moment." Bob is really playing the role of Casey 1988 to a tee only better since he actually hosted a show last week, it really did sound like last weeks show and no name reference even furthers that notion.
However lets put that aside, because this unique ACC year end show sounds hilarious! Dedications, replaying last years #1, hip new jingles, hot major affiliates like wutthafuka....sounds like a winner to me!

I have updated the list for Saturday. It should be the final update with closing thoughts on what we (Me and Jeffster) found out listening today.

Great job with the lists. However...Meadville and Oil City are actually in PA, and the two stations (WGYI & WGYY) are a simulcast.

Here's some more to add to the list:
KSON San Diego - CT40 KORA Bryan/College Station, Texas - ACC WOGK Ocala, Florida - CT40 WGAR Cleveland (Sunday morning slot) - CT40 WRWD Poughkeepsie, NY - Country Countdown USA WMZQ Washington, DC - CT40 WBBS Syracuse, NY - ACC KATI California, Missouri - CT40 KCYY San Antonio, TX - ACC KWEN Tulsa, OK - ACC CFQX Winnepeg, Manitoba, Canada - ACC (hour earlier than website says) CKGY Red Deer, Alberta, Canada - CT40
So, unless WGAR is airing ACC in a slot other than the 2 normal ones, they have indeed dropped the show, ironically in a week in which they were mentioned on the show in a dedication.
I'll have more later.
