I just listened to WLTW which I recorded on my computer. They are not airing the special AT10 Christmas shows. According to the on air personality AT10 will return on January 1 with the top 30 of the year. Does that mean they will air the complete 3 hour show after Jan 1? I will e-mail them and let you know.

Curious, when these stations flip to all Christmas, does anyone on this board listen to the stations that do either more than normal or all the time? Some of us complain about the flip so we seem at least here to be the majority, but I am wondering if we are.

No stations in Meadville or Cleveland have flipped, and normally they do not. However, the year we did get an all-Christmas - my listening stopped until about Dec. 10 where it picked up.

My girlfriend and I had a conversation last night about the "All Christmas" format. In our market, we had two all-Christmas stations last year, and both went to that format the day after Thanksgiving. We both agreed that while we like Christmas music, this seemed to be overkill (much less stations that have already flipped within the past few weeks in other markets).
I really miss the days where Christmas music would be slowly increased from the day after Thanksgiving through Christmas. You'd start hearing more and more Christmas music, but you'd still hear a lot of "regular" music too. I think that this is the best way to do it.
So, since I have an Ipod, I started loading in Christmas music last night. I'm creating playlists that involve a lot of regular music and a few Christmas songs to kind of recreate the way radio USED to do it.
