Listening to the last hour and change of the show, after my work shift.
I have all the year-end shows hosted by Bob (1978-2018), plus all with Don Bowman, and the last two with Garth & Trisha, and the new host, Fitz. Been listening to a year-end marathon in my car, currently on 1988.
Guessing it'll be back to regular shows next Wednesday.

It's been a long while since we've said it but WSM-AM is finally airing new CT40 shows to their lineup. This one is from 1/13/2007. I guess new year, new year to count them down, but hopefully they don't get too ahead this time around. charismusicgroup.com/ACC%20Cue%20Sheets/CT40%202007-0113.pdfETA: The WSM-AM announcer still says this week's countdown from 2006... oops

Just a heads up about this years CT40 year end show. This year they are using the Mediabase year end chart for the top 50 countdown, instead of making their own top 50 based on a song’s full chart run.

ACC did something like that from the early 90s (1990-1993) where they counted down the 100 biggest hits of each year that were determined by Billboard's year-end survey exactly. This week KFYZ is back to regular shows, and going with 1/7/1984. charismusicgroup.com/ACC%20Cue%20Sheets/ACC%201984-0107.pdfETA: I'm hearing the new theme, new number jingles as well as new bumper jingles in this show, which would indicate this is the first week with the new 1984 jingle package.

Pretty interesting show selection, since the last regular show was the one before this, 12/17/1983.
And I had to work again tonight, and I forgot to set things up, so I missed it. 🤦♂️

It's guest host week on CT40 as WSM-AM is airing 1/20/2007 with Cody Alan (though Bob still does the billboard opening and closing). And they started the show several minutes late... charismusicgroup.com/ACC%20Cue%20Sheets/CT40%202007-0120.pdfHe recently departed CMT's After Midnite show and Granger Smith has succeeded him.

1/10/1981 for KFYZ tonight and it seems like they've sped the show up a little bit, at least at the beginning. charismusicgroup.com/ACC%20Cue%20Sheets/ACC%201981-0110.pdfDickey Lee does Lost In Love contrary to the cue sheet. Nevertheless lots of women in the countdown and also some country crossovers as well.

1/27/2007 this week on WSM-AM... no cue sheet link as of this moment but it looks like they won't skip as many if at all in terms of 2007 shows this time around.
And they're playing the solo version of Find Out Who Your Friends Are which on the radio sometimes you'd hear the other guests join in (Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney). Have to wonder if CT40 played that alternate version during the time when it was on the charts...

So cool to see a 4 hour show pop up once again after being in the early 80s for about several weeks now...
That's when Bob's delivery got more better as the years went on and allowed teasers to happen just before going to commercial breaks in some cases.

Been a while. It's also been a while since I've had a Wednesday evening off. Was working several in a row so I couldn't post, let alone listen to the shows at the time. But I'll be gone again for next week's show.
