Three of those were correct.
14) Said act first charted about a year after Justin Timberlake had his first Top 40 hit.
12) More specifically, the chord progressions in both songs were similar. The song in question was slower in tempo, though.

14. "Girls Like You" - Maroon 5? 12. "Hello" - Adele?

14: Girls Like You - Maroon 5 f/Cardi B? (That is, if we're only considering Justin Timberlake solo and not with 'N Sync; also M5 added an 11th #1 to their hit parade in early 2020 at least according to AT40/Mediabase.)

14. "Girls Like You" - Maroon 5? 12. "Hello" - Adele? Maroon 5 has 11 one's but Memories was in 2020.

I assume he's using his chart and not Billboard/Mediabase. Even so, I'm personally trying not to use outside help or fact-checking when guessing, except for what's been posted in this thread. I'm choosing to guess off the top of my head, so I'm sure some of my guesses didn't match up to the clues given.

I've learned a lot about the Mainstream Top 40 charts from Wikipedia this week. Since Casey went off the air, it's been tough to find a countdown to rely on. That's why I comment on the VJ errors on the Big 80s thread so much.

#14 was correct, but not #12
12) This was this singer's debut hit. She had seven Top 40 hits, two of which hit #1. The others missed the Top Ten completely.

No and no.
She has the same last name (spelled out anyway) as the artist of one of the top soundtrack hits of the 1980s.

Correct! Now onto Round 23:
10) A song that has something in common (although to a lesser degree) with songs by Pink and Eamon.
9) Something a certain ant had.
8) Something that might happen when you see your bf or gf walking along, holding hands - especially under stormy skies.
7) This song shares its title with a song from the 1950s.
6) Imagine a bunch of French teens playing "Chubby Bunny" in the middle of summer.
GOOD LUCK!!
