Here are the Fox 50 Flashback Countdowns for October. These shows start on Wednesday at 9am Eastern and 8am Central on theFoxOldies.com. 10/02 October 4th, 1986 10/09 October 12th, 1985 10/16 October 19th, 1974 10/23 October 25th, 1975 10/30 November 7th, 1970 And here are the shows scheduled for November: 11/06 November 5th, 1977 11/13 November 10th, 1984 There will be only 2 countdowns in November because starting on Monday, November 18th, the Fox Oldies will be playing The Top 1000 songs from 1973 to 1982 between 8am and noon each weekday until completed. More to come on the Top 1000 later (or check the website). The next Fox 50 Flashback Countdown after 11/13 will probably be on December 18th. |

mitchm did you record the Fox 50 Flashback Countdown from this past wednesday ( Oct 25, 1975 ) because i didn't heard the # 40 song .

Next Thursday is Halloween and the Fox Oldies will be playing Halloween music from 1pm to 9pm Eastern, noon to 8pm Central time.

AMC 1976 will begin at 8am central on Friday November 1st. It will play until 8pm then restart what was played the first 12 hours. Then on Saturday morning at 8am it will pick back up where it ended at 8pm on Friday night. It will play until 9pm. Normally it stops at 8pm but it was just one hour to long. So rather than have you wait 12 hours to hear the end. It will play all the way through and then replay the 2nd half at 9pm til Sunday at 8am central. Then it will stop for a pre recorded program that runs at 8am Sunday morning resume at 9am til finished. Hope this is clear. Now before anyone gets bent out of shape. Not that many extras this time. Only 14 segments. It took almost a year to do what I did. Sorry I am sure there will be some I left out, But this is mainly about the top 40 anyway. As for the next AMC that will be awhile as my free time has become limited, So it will be some time and not sure which one will be next. Thank you for tuning in and please help spread the word!

So that means there will not be a replay of the Fox 50 countdown ( i missed hour 1 because of changing time in Europe ) . Any chance the station could re-run the Fox 50 Flashback Countdown before next wednesday ?

I really enjoyed the play of several tracks from Fleetwood Mac # 1 LP Rumours during the 1977 Countdown.
Maybe a theme to reproduce for the future shows ?

Starting this Saturday, 11/09/2019, The Fox Oldies will begin playing 2 hours of music from the 60s decade hosted by Psycho Dave. This will run from 6pm to 8pm central time (7pm to 9pm eastern). This show will be part of the regular Saturday night programming.

Just a reminder, the top 1000 songs of 1973-1982 (as determined by performance on the 4 published charts at the time) starts November 18 at 8AM Central. 50 songs every weekday all played from the original 45s. The Live AMC, Flashback Top 50 and A-Z shows will be discontinued until after the countdown is over.
As a special bonus, this Friday, November 15 at 8AM Central, the songs that just missed the top 1000.

It begins this morning at 8am central on The Fox Oldies. The Top 1000 songs from 1973 to 1982. Compiled from the four music charts that were in publication during that time period. This will take a month to complete. I will countdown 50 songs per day. Monday through Friday. And each one will be played from the original vinyl 45 record as it was back when these songs were on the chart. Tune in and PLEASE SHARE!www.thefoxoldies.com.
