Update to this: if anyone missed it on Fox Oldies last week, Sam started playing AMC 1986 but he's just playing the songs. No intros or outcues, no stories or interviews. Still fun to hear the songs in the order they hit the top 40, though different because they don't include Sam himself. It sounds like this will continue through the end of the 80s (not sure if it would go beyond that?). I would guess that it stops at 1989. And if it doesn't no way does it go past when Billboard changed their data collection methods on November 23, 1991. I did notice at the top of their home page, the Fox Oldies now says it plays songs from the 60s to the 90s. What are they playing from the 90s? Is it their Noon to 2pm weekday program?

They would occasionally play '90s stuff, just not the heavy rap stuff of course. There are even songs from the 2000s and even the past decade that are on there, though there's not a whole lot from that time. Just today I heard them play "Blurred Lines".

Either through 1989 or 1991, but yeah I would guess the odds would be that Sam doesn't go past 1991 with the Soundscan switch at the end of November.

If AMC Raw is going to continue past November 1991, there would need to be a pivot to Radio and Records or the Gavin Report.

Said he will probably use the R&R charts for 1991 and '92.
