I've been using dar.fm to record Sam's yearly live shows. Unfortunately, dar has screwed up for me at times so I haven't had one complete year yet (and that will include 1969). Hopefully, 1970 will be the 1st for me.

FWIW, I use a program called iSkysoft audio recorder. It doesn’t have a timer, so you have to be there to start and stop the recording. It works quite well though.

AMC 1976 will be played in 12 hour increments. It will start at 9am Eastern, 8am Central time on Friday, November 1st. The 12 hours will repeat overnight. A new 12 hour segment will start Saturday morning and will again repeat overnight. Since the entire show is probably a little over 24 hours, the remaining segments will be played starting at 9.30am Eastern, 8.30am Central (I'm guessing 2 to 4 hours on Sunday) and then will be repeated on Sunday evening starting at 9pm Eastern, 8pm Central. More opportunities to listen to the show in the next week or two, probably broken into 2 hour segments, will be announced during the playing of the show and posted on the website.

AMC 1976 will begin at 8am central on Friday November 1st. It will play until 8pm then restart what was played the first 12 hours. Then on Saturday morning at 8am it will pick back up where it ended at 8pm on Friday night. It will play until 9pm. Normally it stops at 8pm but it was just one hour to long. So rather than have you wait 12 hours to hear the end. It will play all the way through and then replay the 2nd half at 9pm til Sunday at 8am central. Then it will stop for a pre recorded program that runs at 8am Sunday morning resume at 9am til finished. Hope this is clear. Now before anyone gets bent out of shape. Not that many extras this time. Only 14 segments. It took almost a year to do what I did. Sorry I am sure there will be some I left out, But this is mainly about the top 40 anyway. As for the next AMC that will be awhile as my free time has become limited, So it will be some time and not sure which one will be next. Thank you for tuning in and please help spread the word!

Sam--thanks so much for doing these! (and if I had a vote in the matter, I would stump for 1984 next )

AMC 1970 - the Live version - will finish up tomorrow. The first hour of the show starts at 9am Eastern and 8am Central and will play the songs that first entered the Billboard Top 40 in December. The remaining 3 hours of the show will probably be songs and album cuts from the entire year of 1970 that never hit the top 40. AMC 1971 Live should start next Monday, 11/11/2019.
AMC 1976 - the studio version - will start being repeated in 2 hour increments on weekdays also starting tomorrow. It will start at 1pm eastern, noon central time.

I wonder if Sam will stop doing the live version after 1975 since 1976-1983 exists in the studio version. Doesn't seem a point do it again unless Sam wants to do these differently with these years.

Just a reminder, the top 1000 songs of 1973-1982 (as determined by performance on the 4 published charts at the time) starts November 18 at 8AM Central. 50 songs every weekday all played from the original 45s. The Live AMC, Flashback Top 50 and A-Z shows will be discontinued until after the countdown is over.
As a special bonus, this Friday, November 15 at 8AM Central, the songs that just missed the top 1000.

AMC 1971 the live version will be concluding next Wednesday, 02/12/2020, beginning at 9am eastern, 8am central time and running for 4 hours on TheFoxOldies.com. The first hour will be mostly songs that first entered the Billboard Hot 100 top 40 in December 1971. The remaining 3 hours of the show will be mostly songs from 1971 that peaked at 41 or lower on the Billboard Hot 100 or were never released as singles (mainly album cuts).

Bumping this up to remind everybody that AMC 1984 starts tomorrow morning from 8 AM to 12 noon central with repeats at 8 PM and also on the weekend, with two hours played on Saturday and the other two on Sunday, each at 4 PM. It should last 6-7 weeks.

As always, an enjoyable presentation by Slammin' sammeyers! Currently in the middle of the 3/17 chart. 1984 has always been one of my favorite years musically, and, of course, the AT40 connection to go along with it. Looking forward to the remaining segments. 🙂 Thank you, Sam!

Don't forget that AMC 1984 will be on every Wednesday until it is finished. Today ended as they got started with June, playing all but one debut from 6/2. For anyone who missed it, there will be repeat tonight at 8PM-midnight.
