Update 4-13-22:At 3:55 p.m. eastern time they dumped out of 4-9-83 to go to early '77 with Mary MacGregor at #1. Now the 2nd half of the 1984 year end top 100 is playing as of 5:30 p.m. eastern. ...so basically normal iHate Radio programming...

The 1984 year-end show started around 5:30 PM, but the 9/17/1983 show is currently playing (as of 8:15 PM), so I suspect we might be getting another glitch where the next 80's show that comes on will have the beginning of 1983 played before it switches over to the remainder of 1984*.
*My glitch guess comes from the fact that 9/17/1983 usually airs before the 1984 year-end show rather than after.
See my post below for an update to this.

The current song at #9 is from 9/17/1983. It's "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All" by Air Supply.
ETA: Interesting change...so now are they going away from the current (last) week's shows? Rebuilding the playlist?

Rebuilding the playlist? The show on now was originally supposed to come on around 6:00 PM on March 31st, so it appears they're starting right where they left off on that afternoon/evening.

Quoting myself because after seeing that the 2/5/1977 aired before the 1984 year-end show started, I'm thinking it's more likely that 4/10/1982 will be the next 80's show that comes on until it switches to the remainder of the 1984 year-end show. ETA: Now it's 2/17/1979, skipping over the second half of the 1970 year-end show. ETA (9:32 PM): I just turned it back on and they're on #27 of the 1970 year-end show, so it looks like this glitch is happening with both decades.

Maybe to stop the glitches, iHeart's Classic AT40 channel may go all demand with your choice of selected Classic Casey AT40 shows every week - streaming like Netflix/Hulu/Disney Plus/HBO Max/Peacock.

12:38 PM - After playing #35 of the Top 100 of 1983, they switched over to the 4/25/1981 show starting at #26.
ETA (3:03 PM): 3/4/1978 started a few minutes ago (currently at #39).
ETA (3:40 PM): After playing Poor Poor Pitiful Me at #32, it's now 2/26/1977 with Tom Jones at #28.
ETA (5:26 PM): The second half of the Top 100 of 1981 is starting now.
ETA (6:29 PM): It's now back to the Top 100 of 1983 with Uptown Girl at #34.
ETA (8:44 PM): 3/10/1973 on now.
ETA (9:16 PM): And now back to 1978 with Rod Stewart at #31.
I'm going to guess it's going to be like this for the next couple days, so I'll check back in on Monday to see if it's back to normal.

It's still not fixed; after playing #28 of the 2/12/1983 show, they switched over to #29 of the 1/31/1981 show.
ETA (3:01 PM): 5/12/1979 is starting now.
ETA (3:34 PM): After #26 and the station ID, it switches to #30 of the 5/4/1974 show.
It's not worth monitoring it for the rest of the day, so I'll check in again tomorrow.

I decided to check in for the first time since last Tuesday, and it's still not fixed. 8/24/1974 started at 3:01 PM and played until #32, then switched to #31 of the 1/6/1973 show. I'll check again in a couple of days.

I don't know if it's been fixed yet since I haven't tuned in since last week and no one else has said anything, but it's almost at the bottom of the list; 8/19/1978 is currently on and will be over in a few minutes, as they are at #1.
ETA (11:55 AM): 2/16/1980 is starting now.

So I take it they've broken away from playing the current week's Premiere offerings and gone back to playing from another rotating random set of episodes?

So I take it they've broken away from playing the current week's Premiere offerings and gone back to playing from another rotating random set of episodes? Yes; they've been back to the regular lineup since the middle of April, where it has /had been glitching since they came back. It's not known yet if the shows they repeated are going to be new additions to the list. ETA (1:02 PM): Still not fixed; it went from #30 of the 2/16/1980 show to #27 of the 6/29/1985 show. Is this the longest a glitch has gone unnoticed? It's been going on for almost three weeks now. ETA (3:15 PM): The glitch might be fixed; they're now on 6/3/1972. ETA (4:15 PM): They're still on 6/3/1972 so it's fixed on the 70's side; it'll be a while before we know if it's the same for the 80's. ETA (5:45 PM): 6/7/1986 is starting now. It usually comes on before 6/3/1972, so they're either re-arranging the list a bit or the glitch is still happening on the 80's side. ETA (6:56 PM): They're still on 6/7/1986, so the glitch is fixed there as well. The next mystery is whether or not they're rearranging the show list. ETA (9:05 PM): 1/10/1976 is starting now, with 1/26/1980 likely starting afterwards. ETA (11:35 PM): 1/26/1980 is on now.

They have started over with the 6/7/1986 show, so I don't think those shows that aired in early April are going to be added to the list.

I'm guessing they're waiting until the July 4th weekend to do the year-end marathon.

I wish the iHeart Classic AT40 channel did a Billboard #1 songs of the 1970's marathon and/or the AT40 #1 songs of the 1980's marathon using those Ken Martin created specials.
